Here is another Blood Claw I have been working on.
I haven't done his pack markings yet (right shoulder) because I cant remember what the first model had on its shoulder pad and I haven't dug it out of a model case yet.

Freehanding Ragnar's Great Company badge onto the shoulder pad is much easier with the broader marine pads, I have to say.

Well, I took a crack at this (I'll post pics later), the original highlights are still visible, but now there is a third layer between them, so I have Shadow Grey, 2:1 Shadow Grey:Space Wolves Grey, 1:1 Shadow Grey:Space Wolves Grey, Space Wolves Grey. It didnt make that much of a difference really and added a lot of extra time to an already time-consuming paint scheme. I'm not sure if I will do it to all the models or not.
Thanks though.
well, hey ho, at least you tried. Yeah, it is time consuming, but if you get it right it makes a big positive difference. Anyway, when the mood takes you next, you can always give it another shotty :)

With reference to the special character I built (see here),

I wrote up a short piece of fiction to go with him. You can see the results of my effort here

hey hey, check out the mutton chops on the brother captain! ... oh sorry, I meant wolf lord.

I hadn't noticed the wolf head icon on the axe before. Love the use of the funky wolf bits, they certainly put the wolf in wolf lord. The deeper blue you have going there really goes well with the highlights. But I think I like what you've done with the face the most, especially the eyes. Wolf lord indeed.

Nice,
I especially like that you wrote some fiction to go with the character, now everytime I face this guy I will probably reflect over the story when he and the wolfguard liberated Belgade from the Orks.

I'm thinking of adding some Ork heads to the base or something similar when I actually get round to basing him properly. I'm hoping to make up a retinue of Wolf Guard for him who would all need similar extras on their bases.
