Yeah, looking good man. :)
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

The early 90's certainly were a time in GW graphic design, weren't they?

You wouldn't expect this from a man with a Phantom titan in beige, red and purple with metallic green trim ...

What about a sort of pinkish purpley colour?

I had that model. Wonder whatever happened to mine?

In other news, I'm thinking of modifying the rules to allow for "modern" Marine assault squads, meaning assault squads I can actually put together models for. The assault squads in the ASC rules have twin bolt pistols, and of course the weapons sprues you can get nowadays have bolt pistol / chainsword. In game terms, it's just a question of reducing their shooting from 2 to 1 dice and giving them a parry in HTH, which is probably a fair trade-off.

Edit: OTOH, ebay comes through - a whole lot of just assault weapons is on the block.

Edit 2: Hooray for eBay! In one fell swoop of bitz-buying I got enough stuff to convert a tactical combat squad to an assault squad, make a terminator commander, and add a couple genestealers to my brood. Now all I really need is some Tyranid Warriors.

Mind Slaves!

You've almost got to feel sorry for the brutes. There's something fundamentally un-Orky about a weird alien crab that attaches itself to the base of your skull and hijacks your nervous system.

The minis look ace, not so sure about the bases, though (have I banged on about these before? I'm losing track :) )

I'm this close to scouring Ebay for a copy of ASC and some old plastic Scouts ...

It's a fair point. :) Basically I couldn't be arsed to try and think of a "hive-shippy" base decoration system, so I went with my standard generic ash gray plus flock. If I ever come into a lot of money I may shell out for resin bases like these and re-base everybody, but for the moment I'm focusing on getting the models painted.

ASC turns up a lot less often on eBay than Tyranid Attack, and both a lot less often than Space Crusade. I did see some Zoats the other day, though...
