they were still wrong that is my point.. certain rumors are ok but I got hosed on the Blood Angel Rumors I still get things mixed up and I have read the actual codex but the old rumors are still stuck in my head to this day. Makes things harder that if one did not read the rumors in the first place.. :?

Then, WHY are you IN the rumours section?
If you dont like rumours, stop reading them and stop complaining about reading them. The thread title even clearly says RUMOUR.

they are all anyone is writing about these days... I would like the topic to move over to something I can participate in... I do not hate rumors just when they get too out of control. McSpacewolf a really nice got got banned for his posting of an April Fools joke that got all the Dark Eldar rumors.

Badruck, chief.
Youre not a daft guy, so surely you can tell the difference (and remember the difference) between actual rules you got from a rulebook and rumours that you read on DakkaDakka. Its not that hard. I mean, they do even occasionally change the official rules from time to time. New rulebooks, FAQs and whatnot. Everyone else in the world of wargaming seems to be able to cope with having read more than one set of rules for things. You can too, no? Stop trying to wind up Prim - it aint working and youre filling up this thread with waffle.

Then start new threads or participate in some of the other ones. Talk about what you want to talk about, but don't whinge that no-one is discussing what you want to discuss as we don't know what you want to discuss.

He got banned on Warseer for winding up a large number of their users. There is a large difference between passing on info that may be correct and deliberately trolling people.

So, how many 2nd edition Eldar statlines can you remember? :) I think I know the 2nd edition rules better than I know the 5th edition.

then you clearly havent played enough 5th ed games :D (i say this in full knowledge that you have almost certainly played a gajillion times as many as I have.)

honestly, though, I cant remember much from 2nd ed other than Hawk Exarchs with Vortex Grenades and Fuegan's Firepike were a serious pain in the fundament for everyone who wasnt me :D

I remember that Gazgul Thraka in 2nd Ed could be un-killabel for one turn... you could run through a vortex grenade if you wanted to... great stuff... the worst thing about second ed was that was the last of the squats... they did not get a codex... and that was the end of them... really sad stuff..

The worst thing about 2nd edition was the Virus Bomb??? which could potentially wipe out your army before the first turn of the game. Some of the wargear, whilst cool, was ridiculous.
I dont miss squats. (There I said it). They were ok, but I think that everyone tends to remember the older stuff through the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia. I'd rather see Genestealer Cults brought back. :D
