Stormtroopers ahead!

Ups! Sorry I mean
Militarum Tempestus (why GW? why the fake Latin

)
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/po ... 83532.page
So now we can have an all Stormtrooper army that sounds really good, and even if the 5 ST box got hit with a +11€ price (3500Y/one box here) increase I'm getting one box.
But the new Taurox... no GW, just no! Can't you take a hint from ForgeWorld or even your current IG line? I want a military looking vehicle, not a toy and you are trying to sell me a very expensive toy again.
M.
edit: Tamiya sells a British Army Quad tractor (no doubt the inspiration of the Taurox) that probably can be used after some conversion work.

On top of page 12 of the same thread you'll find a better pic of the stormies that makes me say WANNAWANNA!
I guess that 50% I like on GW stuff is a good rate for me.

hmmn. pg 12 pics of the stormies make em look pretty good, if you like that kind of thing, ears arent pointy enough, tho
the tonkatrak looks daft tho. itd make a good basis for an ork trukk, and as folks have said, looks quite arbites=ish. needs wheels instead of tracks to not look dumb. reminds me a bit of the empire steam thingy, actually.
ps i liked this line

Storm troopers look cool. What do they compare price wise with 3rd party "counts as Stormtroopers"?
That truck is daft. Been said before, I'll say it again.

The new IG codex will be called Astra Militarum also we will be getting a Militarum Tempestus mini-dex ala Imperial Knights (I hope with more rules)
In all honesty at current prices, lack of new fluff and stuff inside other than pretty pics and after having to endure the horrible translation to Spanish of the Eldar Dex (tried to get it in English at the store but alas it was direct only

), this time I won't bother buying neither. Internet will be my friend...

Stormtroopers look good. New wagon thing, not so much. I don't know who GW has designing for them these days, but I think they are bipolar. Sternguard>Centurions, New Dark Elves>New High Elves, Knight Titan>IG Shortbus.
I for one will be steadfastly ignoring peer pressure and will continue to refer to my IG as Guard, not this silly latin nonsense.

The new IG Blob transport looks a lot like a Grim Dark version of the current crop of US army MRAP vehicles but with tracks instead of wheels. Not my cup of tea either way.

I have a handful of IG waiting to be done, so the release news is interesting, probably not sufficient to supplant other projects, but still.. Stormtroopers are very nice, but stick a few Bolt Action beret Commando heads on regular guard models and you'd probably be halfway there. I actually quite like the shortbus/tonka toy/Big Trak
They will all be silly money though.

Probably around the 4500 yen mark per box.
