There will definitely be FOW going on at Winter Blitz. Games will be set at 750pts. I will be bringing Sovs and Krauts to play with and/or lend anyone who wants to try out the game.

As for 'A Bountiful Bridge Too Far', that might have to wait until March now. The Madmiral has organized something for February in Ogaki and there is the usual Joshin event I assume, so there aren't many dates left.

@Job:That said, I will definitely be up for some FOW at the February, Joshin event. I think I will be heartily sick of anything GW by that point. I might have to paint up some Sturmoviks if you bring all those big cats again.

Go ahead. I'll just shoot them down with Tigers. ;) (The Tiger Ace Otto Carius accounts that supposedly his tank once shot a Strumovick down with the main gun on the tank.) But, I'm building up a German Gebrigsjager company as my next project, so you might see them as your next opponent at Winter Blitz. (Or my paratroopers/2nd armor if I can ever get them sent here- maybe Feb. I really want to play using the new Normandy lists!)

So far we have 5 people who have said they would like to play FOW at Winter Blitz.

Mike the Pike
Job
Ashmie
The Other Dave
Fox in Japan.

It sounds as though it will be lots of fun.

@Job: I was thinking that, seeing as though the games will be rather small, of using Battlefront's suggestion of setting the compulsory units at one Company Command + One Combat Platoon. What do you think?

I'll be there. If the doors open 9:30, then I'll be there at 9:30 ish.
@ MR.Pike- If BF suggests I am bound to agree. Just watch out, it opens the door to tank units at 750. Armor can be hellish for infantry formations at 750. I mean do you really want me to show up with four panthers? (Usually infantry build up their AT when they begin filling out their charts. Then they kill armor with combined arms.) You can always ban or at least caution players about not bringing tank or armor heavy lists. Well, anyway, I will bring infantry, Gebrigsjager, not a panzer company. (Although if someone wants a bigger game...I'll be ready.)
Oh, and the other thing is if I can bum a few German stands from you for an HQ? If we go with one compulsory unit, then I'll just need two command stands and one infantry stand.

I'll be bringing along my FoW ruined buildings and some game mats, but could someone (ie Mike) please bring along some roads/rails/trees etc as everything else I have is 40k scale.

I'll bring some trees and felt cut out for forest bases. I want to do more scenery, but there will be nothing forth coming for this event.

@Job: Don't worry about uber-tank units showing up. As most of the minis in action tomorrow will be mine, I don't foresee many probs with power gamers.

Flames of War was great at Winter Blitz. 3 games in one day is pretty good going.
I'll get painting those paras, buy a few extra units and should be ready for 750 finally.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Everyone, thanks for the great time. I had a blast. Sorry about the lone Tiger, but actually a group of lighter panzers can be a far more cruel thing. Maybe that one tank is nearly untouchable, but adding up all accounts, it didn't do that much.

Aaron, thanks for the game and being a teammate. I hope at some time you decide to build up a FOW force. Otherwise, I'd love to boardgame sometime.

Ash, your Peter Pig models really rock. I'll be getting my Brit support for my Americans sometime soon, so maybe we double-team Germans in the future. I bet we could have had a forth game if Star Wars hadn't made itself into the conversations.

Mike, I mistakenly took your template. Thanks for putting together and bringing down so much stuff for everyone to have a good time.
