FoW: I don't suppose...

...that any of you guys who play Germans need a couple more StuGs?
I'm thinking hard about getting the Open Fire box - I really need the rulebook and the Shermans will be handy - and it'd be a shame for the StuGs to go to waste.

I would be interested also. I won't compete with Mike if he wants them. And Voss, you still are two Stugs short of a panzer company.
If you order a starter box, which is a great deal, I think you will always have an interested person. It has got be one of the better starter kits out there: it includes dice, tanks worth more then then the box, rulebook, and template.

Shermans are great, they can be used by 3 of the 4 big factions. Stugs are less useful, but it appears that there are a few german players around.
Now, if they were 1:48 scale I'd be interested, but for FoW the only use I would have for them is for target practice.

You can play GW and sci-fi/fantasy games at 28mm+. Play 15mm- for historicals!
And Stugs are actually present in tons of German lists, Hungarian lists, Finnish lists and Soviet lists (decoys). Romanians may have them, too. Actually, there's a Stug in the British Guard's Hell's Highway list (a command vehicle for the artillery).

Beauty. I'll go ahead and order the box then, and we can sort out who wants tanks when I get it. Thanks guys!
(Man, I should really buy a carry case instead - limited funds each month and all, don't you know - but that's so boring.)

I feel the same way about the carry case. Except I think it is cool, too. Just not as cool as more figures. (Uh oh, I think I'm going down a dark road of miniature collection... is it addiction?

)

It's a hard choice, for sure. I figured, in the end, that there's not much point in a carry case until I actually have enough models to play a game (and thus a need to, you know, carry them), so I'll hold off. (For some reason, I'm feeling too lazy to jury-rig carrying solutions out of 100 yen store goods like I have with WFB and Epic, too.) So this month is the starter box, my company HQ and some bases for vehicles.
I actually did geek out and plan my first 1500 points of purchases. At roughly a platoon a month, I should be good to go by year-end, heh.

That is so awesome!
