So for flames of war, I thought I would go Italian. Here is my idea of a Russian front 1500 pnt list. At some point I hope to upgrade this to Alpina level (i can't help it, I'm a Montanan  )

Company HQ
1 Fucilieri Platoon 4 squads
2 Fucilieri Platoon 3 squads rifle/MG teams
3 Fucilieri Platoon 4 squads

1 light mortar platoon 3 sections

1 Anti-tank platoon w/ German 7.5cm PaK97/38 (75/39) and 3 ton trucks

1 self propelled platoon 4 Semovente 47/32 w/ AA MG

1 Bersagglieri platoon 3 squads with rifle/MG teams and passaglia bombs

1 artillery batter 2 gun section 75/27

Demolisher platoon, 2 squads w/ Rifle/MG teams

Mortar platoon 3 sections

I'll be trying to pick some or most of this up stateside so thoughts and suggestions are much appreciated

Might be interesting. One problem however, is that at the moment, we are playing mostly playing with Late War Armies. While there is nothing in the rules to say that you can't bring Mid War Italians to a late war party, I think they would struggle against most German/Soviet Late War Tanks.
Just out of curiousity, why Italians?

Historically, Italy was the oddball army. Not really well built, second rate equipment, officers who had such a wide level of experience, conscription rules that were just plain wacky and a tin pot leader. And yet throughout the war, they held out when they should have crumbled and won when they should have lost. It's quite an interesting back story to an army.

But if it is late then, yeah this wouldn't work and as I don't have any late edition army books, I guess I'm out of the game unless someone can get me the lists here in very short order.

Better than that, there are plenty of official late-war lists for free on the FOW home page.

Prim is going to be using the PDF for the British 50th Infantry Division rather than one in any of the books because the 50th was recruited from his home region in the UK.

If you want to get something unusual there are Finns, Czechs, Estinians and even Brazilians!
