@ MIJ: Did buying the Cryx cards also get you the Mercs cards that can join Cryx?

No, but I guess that's what the Mercs deck is for. Woulda been nice, but I can't blame em - it is a separate faction, after all.

It also looks like you need an internet connection to interact with other iPads. Is that true?

You probably have your answer all ready, but you do need an internet connection to link two ipads. I've yet been able to make this work. I thought it was an issue with updates, but despite being continually updated, I've still not been able to link two ipads. I've got a Gen 1 iPad that I've tried linking to several devices with no luck. My WiFi is a portable hub though, and I'm getting internet on Friday, so I'll ahve to try it from a home WiFi router at that time.

All in all, it's a nice reference tool, I've purchased the full set, at 6 bucks a deck you can't really beat it. It's now got the rules for the Archangel so if you're interested check it out. Other functions are meh, but I still refer to War Room at least once a week or so when looking up cards and opposing factions in games.

Thanks for letting me know. I wonder if you could also tell me one more thing. In the Cygnar list it has Khador and Merc (I think) units. If I bought the Cygnar cards/pack do they come with it?

Ah, I'm really not sure, I purchased all the decks at the same time, so I don't really know. As far as merc units, you have to purchase the merc deck for that, except for the precursors, which count as Cygnar allies.

Anything that comes in a starter box should be included in The war room free dl. When I bought cryx it only includes:
Everything from the cryx book.
Everything cryxy from subsequent books. (Eg the iron lich overseer from Wrath and the Kraken super heavy)
Cryx tourney-only special units


No Mercs or allied stuff.

*puzzled* I'm not quite understanding where the problem lies. I play cryx, I buy the cryx deck, I can see all the cryx cards. I'm a happy camper. Why do we need to see other factions' cards? Mercs I kinda understand, but do we really need mercs in our lists? Bear in mind that any mini we buy will automatically come with the appropriate card, so if you like a particular merc mini, check BattleCollege to confirm it can actually work for your army, then just buy the mini. The War Room isn't really a complete solution, it's just a list building aid, really.
