There is a large (and getting larger) RPG group in Nagoya made up of foreigners and Ennui plays in a Japanese group as well.

Yup. I'm a member of that group. I live around Kamimaezu and play in the center area of Nagoya. Good times.

If I lived in Nagoya I think I would be more keen on RPGs... but getting out to the War-gaming events is hard enough.. I have Rifts.. It is my favorite RPG and I hope I can get back in to it someday..

Japanese Gaming for Foreigners
...By the way, there are TONS of conventions and DnD get together stuffs that happen every month in Nagoya, Kariya, Gifu, all over the place, if your Japanese is good enough. I met this really awesome writer for the F.E.A.R. rpg group a few months ago when I GMed CthulhuTech at a Gifu convention. i highly reccomend checking out some Japanese games like Double Cross and Satasupe (Saturday Night Special). I'm still trying to get into a game of Tenra War (which was the spiritual predecessor to Heiankyo!).
