Re: Rpg festival in Tsu next March anyone?

I'd prefer to run Dark Heresy. Rogue Trader is a bit more involved and not so good for a 1 shot I think.
I'm also happy to run D&D 3.5. Maybe generic, maybe Ravenloft. I'll see.

Hi Guys,

I haven`t posted on this community very much but I would definitely be interested in such an event... I have had an idea for a warhammer fantasy game for quite a while and if you were willing to trust me and nobody else was interested in running it I would be willing to do it... I would also like to run some board and card games if it were allowed... some simple things to get people through the between game time and dice rolling withdrawal symptoms. The biggest factor for me would be the cost... It might be a stupid question but why not run it in Nagoya?

Cheaper to run it in Tsu in terms of hiring the space. Also I live in Tsu and I'm organizing it so that's easier.
I'd like to keep the event purely rpg. So that's a no to card games and other board games. The plan is for it to be non stop rpg throughout the weekend. Did you want to run Warhammer fantasy? 2nd or 3rd edition?
It would be great if you could help.
There are many events in Nagoya. Next one is the end of January, Winter Blitz. There will be a variety of games at this event. Please join. It's in Kanayama.

In terms of cost it would be 980 yen on the kyukou train, kintetsu from Nagoya to Tsu.
I hope the gaming fee wouldn't be more than 500 yen for the day, maybe 1000 yen for 2 days

Calling all bold adventurers and foolhardy travelers,

Just to give you a provisional heads up for the rpg festival. The dates will be March the 5th and 6th of 2011.

It's looking promising. I'm going to book the venue later this week but we have 4 or 5 game systems running now. Please invite members from your rpg/wargames group also as we need many players of course.

So far line up is Call of Cthulhu
D and D basic
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2nd or 3rd edition
Dogs (Indie rpg)
Dark Heresy

Don your chain mail or leather jerkin and pack a knapsack for a long journey, only the bravest will survive,

Ash.

Sounds good. Could you let me know what times we'll have the rooms for please?
Have you settled on how many games we'll be playing yet? e.g. 2 games per day, 4 total or 1 game for both days?
I'd love to get in on some WFRP action between DMing games if I could.

Sure, I'm hoping 4 or 5 systems per day.
You only need to prepare one scenario but welcome to prepare two if you fancy joining for two days. Definitely you will have the chance to be a player as well as a GM.

Times and details to be confirmed later this week.
In a worse case scenario where we don't have enough players we will cut it down to two systems per one day, rest assured Dark Heresy will be operational.
If you can run it for two days great, if you want to run it just as a one shot that's fine too.
We have the GMs lined up now, I'll book it and then work on the numbers for players. Got a lot of faith we can get a good turn out though.

Totally up to you. You can run two one off scenarios, one per day or the same one twice or just one in total on one of the days.
I know Egor and Justin will be up for playing Dark Heresy and I would like to give it a go too as I haven't played sci-fi rpg before.
For now I would say aim for your scenario to be 3 to 6 hours in length with the possibility for late comers to jump in as the story unfolds. It might be worth having some pre generated characters ready for players.

Hi,

Primarch mentioned this to me yesterday. Can't say for sure whether or not I can come yet, and if I do it will only be on the Sunday.

But anyway I will bring it up with my RPG group next Sunday (the 9th!)

By all means please join and bring your rpg group along with you. We have 5 GMs confirmed now for 5 different game systems.
D and D will be running on the Sunday only so that works out fine. Depending on numbers I may run it on the Saturday too.
