Does anyone have any experience with JTRPGs that they'd like to share? Just throwing that out there...

It would be a good idea to have some tables free for Japanese players to join a Japanese speaking game. I'll have a word with Kedama. I think he plays Cthulhu Tech.

@Ashmie: Could you post who's running what when, and who's signed up for which games so far? (Like what Prim has for Winter Blitz.)
It'd give me a better idea of how to prepare.

Prim did that for WB? Could you direct me to where, please? I'm looking for that, but I must've overlooked something...

Sorry or being a wee off-topic....

I'm not doing a sign up for this event as they tend to be counter productive and put people off joining as most people only know if they can make it the week before the event. As long as we have the 4 GMs ready to go on the weekend then people know they can turn up a play.
The interest is growing with the people I have spoken too. I think unless people have a preference to what they want to play it's fine to turn up at 10 each day and take it from there.
Grim Ironjaw we have scheduled Shadowrun into being played on the Saturday as this is when you can make it.
Other GMs too, please let me know what day you will be running your scenario. Both days is fine if you can.

Saturday games: Shadowrun, Call of Cthulu

Sunday games: Dungeons and Dragons, Dogs in the Vineyard

Warhammer Fantasy and Dark Heresy is going to be there too either on one of the days or both. TBA.

I am recruiting by e mail and word of mouth. So far we should have at least 2 players minimum for your game but I'm hoping to get 4 per game system.

We have quite a bit of interest generated so far from players from all over. Some are new Japan and are looking for game groups others are interested in rpg and haven't had the chance to play for a while and most are the usual suspects from this forum.

Dear gamers, dungeoneers, quest seekers, vagabonds and rogues,

Thanks for supporting this event so far.

I can confirm that the venue is now booked at UST building on the 4th floor for 2 days from March 5th to March 6th.
We have the room from 9am until 10pm each day. We will run until 8pm each day. It's going to be 400 yen per game day. 800 yen for the weekend. This will cover the cost of the venue.

No food or drink sadly as it's a public officers building but it is at Tsu station so there are plenty of restaurants and cafe's down on ground level so you won't go hungry.

So far in terms of definite scheduled days we have:

Saturday games: Shadowrun, Call of Cthulu

Sunday games: Dungeons and Dragons, Dogs in the Vineyard

Warhammer Fantasy and Dark Heresy is going to be there too either on one of the days or both. TBA.

There are a total of 18 player slots available for the games so please state if you have a preference for playing one particular system.

Dice, pencil, paper, bring and barter.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Its your event, so its your call. At the same time, having 4 GMs turn up when people only want to play 2 games is also not good. Having 10 people wanting to play D and D but only room for 6, you have to decide who can/cant join. Having people sign up in advance shows if A) there is any interest in that game and B) allows for a first come/first served option of allocating spaces at popular games.

Don't panic sir. Points well made and noted.

At present we have enough players for 2 games to be running simultaneously on each day. I'm hoping for a minimum of 4 players per system perhaps 6 if it's busy.

Saturday definitely confirmed games running are: Dark Heresy and Shadowrun.

Sunday definitely confirmed games running are: Dungeons and Dragons and Dogs in the Vineyard.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and Call of Cthulhu will be run on either of those days depending on numbers at the event. Again if someone contacts me who really wants to play WFRP ot Cthulhu I will schedule it according to them. Myslef, Moyashimaru and Lovejoy are all standby GMs for this instance.

It's early days and I have received enough interest so far from players new and old wishing to attend for the weekend. Right now we need to concentrate on getting the players in. I can concentrate on this but we need to work together to get the punters in. Anyone who can or can't join please let others know about this event and invite anyone who shows an interest in enjoying what should turn out to be a fun weekend.

Thanks :D
