Got my first proper game in today against ToD. I got my behind handed to me unfortunately, I have never seen so many 6's rolled in one game before, but ToD kept churning them out turn after turn.

The game itself is pretty straightforward. I think having more Helices on the board would add a bit more depth to it, as would playing on a full 6' table rather than the 4' we were using.
My painting schedule is kind of full for the time being, but at some stage I will get my Works Raptor and Terquai minis done and try the game again with some Recon units on the board.

In the meantime, the last three Leviathans are out.

The Aquan squid walker is a nice idea, but the pose is a little static, hopefully the real mini will be better than the renders.

Shame about the Sorylian leviathan, although as I said today it makes my decision to go with Dindrenzi an easier one.

It was a good fun game, and had a kind of surprising amount of tactical depth considering we were playing at the absolute bare minimum game size. Sorry about all those 6's!

Found an unboxing thread for the Dindrenzi leviathan. Try to ignore the dude's grody thumb; man is that a big model.

Also: So, uh, the Sorylian leviathan is apparently an actual Sorylian - like, sentient and possibly high-ranking. Huh.

Looking through the rulebook a bit... I think we might have done cyber attacks wrong - the Repair Test rules suggest that they're persistent effects that last until repaired. Obviously that wouldn't matter for the two that give disorder or activation markers, and the debilitating effect marker would be repaired as usual (although we forgot to do this in our game), but I think it means that the one that makes all shots rushed would last 'til repaired. It still means you want to use cyber weapons before the target unit activates, because it has a 50/50 chance of being repaired, but makes it also not completely useless, heh.
