D&D Attack Wing

Post by Auxryn » Fri Jul 31, 2015 12:56 pm

So there is a new X-Wing style game except it takes place in the D&D world with dragons instead of TIE fighters. I find this personally interesting because it is probably the only miniatures game that I will ever have a chance of getting my wife interested in. She really loves dragons.

I know some people in the area have been playing X-Wing. Is anyone looking at this?

Love x-wing but no interest in dragons....

Don't know how similar the rules are, but happy to show you x-wing sometime
So many games, so little time....

It's closer, I think, to Star Trek Attack Wing than to X-Wing (the basic mechanics are much the same, obviously).

Pretty sure I saw a box for this at Claymore. It probably plays really nicely, but the prepainted dragons looked very ropey to be honest, like mass produced rubberised kids toys. I was quite shocked at how bad they seemed. That may not be an issue, but you'd probably want to improve them with your own handiwork. Definitely one to see some close up photos of or to handle yourself before picking up.

I'll post a link here which illustrates what I saw.
