Dreadball and other musings

I occasionally putter about on the Studio McVey forums (for Sed Wars reasons) and I noticed an interesting linky:

This is Jake Thornton's blog. He does a lot of design work for Mantic, and is the guy behind Dreadball, their not-Blood Bowl game thats currently being kickstarted. It's a fairly interesting read, especially if you wander about the blog a bit and read his reviews of stuff. He's not afraid to call a game crap if he thinks it is, but he always backs up his opinions well. Worth a gander, I reckon.

Good read.

Actually piqued my interest in the game.

I've been keeping an eye on Dreadball. As usual, I'm really interested in seeing the rules in play (although I like what I see on that blog), but the minis are definitely on the top-end as far as Mantic's concerned, and more quick-play low-model-count games are always nice.
