I was browsing the game finder forum just now, and happened upon Ashmie's Mordhiem event and thought to myself, "wouldn't it be nice to go and attend it". Only problem is I've never played it and don't know where to get started. People tell me its the fantasy version of 40k's ganger game where your models continually sustain grievous injuries and gain experience until they ..die. ...Heres a few questions I had about the game, if anyone can tell me anything about getting started, that would be awesome.

How different is this game from necromunda? and is there a faction in the game where I can make a warband out of models that look like these:

Witch Hunters (which hunters?) are probably a good fit for Menoth models. They're detailed in the "warbands" pdf.

yeah, go with witch hunters for menoth, i reckon. The rules are v similar to necro, but with minor tweaks (mordheim came out after necro, so had the benefit of hindsight.)

if you turn up with a bunch of menoth figs and a vague idea of what you want in your gang and what model represents what, im sure someone can steer you through your first game or two
