This has got to be one of the simplest skirmish game out there but it has started to pick up quite a following online.

You can create a warband of basically any fantasy miniature you have (there are stats for all sorts of things) and get a basic game in under an hour.

Every mini has just two stats (see, told you its simple!!) but is fleshed out with certain skills (berserker, amphibious etc).

It has a unique turn system. I have stolen this little description from RPGnets review of it;

"This games ditches the traditional you go, I go method of wargames and incorporates a unique activation system that makes the game much more tactical. On a players turn he chooses which model to activate and rolls 1,2,or 3 six sided dice (the players choice). Each roll over the troops Quality score is a success, and he can use it to take an action. Once his actions are taken he can choose to activate another of his models. 2 failures in one activation roll (or once the last model on that side is activated) indicate that play passes on to the other side. It’s a fun gamish mechanic that can reflect several things, like troops getting confused, or a leader giving bad orders, or something distracting the warband. Since each trurn is only a few seconds, it is easy to see one bad decision screwing it up for your entire side. "

I have yet to play it but it does look like great, simple fun :)

Will do mate. I've got enough minis to make up warbands of ;

Savage Orcs
Goblins
Orcs
Dwarves
Human mercs with halflings
Monks
Beastmen.

It is a really simple game, can be taught in 5 minutes, plays fast, and can use ANY minis you want. The rules system has been adapted into several different settings. They have;

Napoleonic skirmish
Dark Age skirmish
Horror
Post Apocalyptic skirmish
Dungeon Crawl

Im looking to do a vampire hunting game, a zombie survivor game, the list is endless mate!

I have some expanded rules of this.
sond of gold and darkness
song of wind and water
song of splintered land
dead walk again
Now I am translating these rules for playing with somebody.
But have not completed.

Good man Kaz!!!

I am going to organise a SOBH game for June or July in Yokkaich. When I have a better plan I will invite people. Please come down and play. I'm sure we will have a great time.

I want to play, you want to play, the Admiral wants to play. We already have 3 players :)

Is this game in 28mm? If it is, I have a MASSIVE pile of prepainted Dungeons and Dragons figures which I could bring along to play with.
I will take a look at the rules when I get a minute as it seems like a nice idea.

Its 28mm or 15mm.

Pre painted D&D or any fantasy for that matter would work. You will never need any more than 15 for a warband.
