{Edit} - As Bolt Action seem popular with existing players, there will be tables made available for it on Day 1. I will spend my free time over the coming months getting more terrain ready.

Really difficult to choose one. All those options sound good. I suppose the reinactment of Michael Caine in 28mm Zulu would be my choice. Ill try and clear it with my family way in advance as my track record has been a wash our this year and last on most events. I game a lot less than I used to now and find I enjoy it all the more. I hope to be there mate. Probably working the Friday unless that's golden week. 2nd day should be possible. Ill put my vote in for Rorkes Drift but any of those options I'd be keen to see/play. Have fun putting something together.

Any other opinions? 4 people have voted so far, but only one has written anything.
Is there anything that people want to do instead?

Cheers

I'm the one who voted for BP Napoleonics. It was a purely out of selfish desire to try and play more Napoleonics. I love the period and the models. I have a collection of my own, now, so I want to see it played.

But to be completely honest, it is a bit more complicated then actually BA or HC. The core rules are simple, but squares, calvary, artillery, rules involving building, LOS and skirmishers all actually make the system a bit more elaborate. Finally, it takes a bit longer than BA in my opinion.

I think if I were in your boots I would either run BA as it is rather easy to learn and play. Also the games are quick and condensed. Finally there's the likelihood of recruiting new players.

OR, do the BP Zulu War. It is something new and novel. I think you'll enjoy seeing your models put in action. You can design a scenario and play the part of GM (as the BP rules operate best when there is one, it seems). If there's only one other person you will of course play. Lastly, in all likelihood there will be people about the 2nd day playing BA, its just so popular now.

Anyway, those are my 2 bits.

As I have a BA force, I am naturally keen to get it on the table top. I think the game mechanics are fair, fun, dynamic and relatively easy to pick up, especially for people with 40k experience.

I'm up for anything.
Anyone fancy some Gorkamorka/Mordheim/Necromunda?

Me!

Although I am happy enough to play historical games if that is what's on the menu. I figured that there would be several different types of games going on, however, and I didn't want to vote and then go off and play something completely different.

I also voted BA, at the moment I am just assuming I can make it. To be honest BP and HC would be great too, as well as Konrads suggestions. Theres always Strange Aeons too.

If people want to play Strange Aeons, Necromunda etc, thats fine. Likewise, if people want to organise BA or BP then that is fine too. As I said in the first post, I am planning to do demo games for people of something they HAVEN'T played before, so I would like to know which of the games listed people would like to TRY. So if you already play Bolt Action, there is no point to vote for Bolt Action as it kind of defeats the purpose to run a demo game of it for you. Likewise I am not even considering running Mordheim, so please open a new thread if that is what you want to play.

@Prim - like Konrad, I got the impression that these historicals were intended as The Event for day 2, which I appreciate is not the case after a re-reading of the OP. Perhaps a wee disclaimer t the top of the OP might clarify that this is just a personal side-project rather than the main event, and avoid confusion for the hard-of-thinking amongst us? I think the confusion stems mainly from the thread title and the fact that you're the main man when it comes to Naghammer :)
