Hi everyone.
Well, I checked with the usual venue about booking a room for NH2015 and was told that to make a reservation, I need to be at their office on October 1st from 9 am to 11 am.
However, I am working on that day from 8:30 am to 12 noon outside of town.

So.... will any of you fine folks be in Kanayama and free on the morning of October 1st (Wednesday). I can sort out the money for the reservation, but I can't attend the meeting to make the reservation. The whole system is kind of screwy because they wait until everyone has made their requests and then have you janken for it if there are any clashes. This does mean that you can actually turn up at 10 am rather than 9 am when the doors open.

If no-one can make it, I will try and pop in after lunch and see if there are any days available to reserve.

In the event that the meeting room is unavailable, there are other venues we can use, some of which have rooms which should be big enough, but I don't know of any that can be reserved 6 months in advance, so NH may be taking place on short notice.

I will confirm my schedule tomorrow, but there is a good chance I can do it. Of course it is always good to have a back-up plan, so can anyone else make it, too?

Wednesday is my day off but I'd hate to have anything so important resting on my vascilating nature and my puny arms. Koji or Mike could surely strong arm any competition.

@Job - Er... thanks, I guess. With that level of enthusiasm, how can we possibly fail?

I am a substitute teacher on Wednesdays, and I usually get sent out in the afternoon - so I would say there is a 95% chance I can do it. Unfortunately I won't know for sure until Wednesday, whenever they call me. So I guess I will be the back-up plan.

What can I say, I am a benchwarmer, not a starter. I am fine with supporting but I hate to be the one expected to take the shot. But, let me be backup to Koji or Underdweller if you need someone. I can make it down to the Chukyu Center pretty easily from my house, but I would need detailed instructions on the procedures and probably an 8:00 call to make sure I was out the door so early on my day off.

I will be available.

Well everyone, it looks like lady luck was against us this year. Kojibear made it to the room booking, but we were unable to get the days we wanted as the NagoyaHammer booking request was the 6th one drawn from the hat.
So, the search is on for a second venue. We need somewhere with easy access by train, large enough for about 10 gaming tables and bookable far enough in advance that we can plan the games and get stuff painted.

Well, Kojibear was unable to get the room during the GW holidays (May 2nd to 6th), BUT the room was available the following weekend at the end of GW. May 9th (sat) and May 10th (sun). We are a go for!NagoyaHammer2015!

Speaking personally, I will be unable to commit until I get my new school schedule (er, sometime in late march) but based off this (and previous years') schedules it is unlikely I will be able to make it. But, hey ho ya never know - we shall see what the future brings. Maybe the fates will favour me, who can say? Meh - let's be optimistic - chalk me up for the Sunday (and, all things being not-completely-balls) the Saturday night drinks. There will be drinks, yes?
