battle engines for all! Menites included

Image

not as cool as the khador gun carriage or the cryx wraith engine i think :( but it will suffice. By the looks of things the damn thing is pulled by goliath himself. The interesting thing is that it says it houses the remains of a dead priest king in it. If I stick some horses on the front maybe it can pass off as a vampire counts black coach.

size wise, its on a par with their other models. Those gun wagons, and presumably the other engines, are really, really big. Super Heavy sized, really. At least Land Raider sized, based off that picture.

btw, has anyone else got any plastic PP stuff? I got a coupla bonejacks in Scotland (oh, the joy of an actual bricks and mortar hobby store!) and the plastic is some wierd stuff. Its almost, but not quite, rubbery. Still, the detail is fine, and all that - its just that dremmelling off mold lines turned out to be a mistake...

I have a plastic Khador Heavy 'jack. It looks more like resin than plastic truth be told. Does regular poly-cement work or should I be breaking out the super-glue?

I went straight for the super glue. I wouldnt trust poly cement on it. No spare spruey bits to try it out on, either...

Some of the rules for the Khador Gun Carriage as well as general info for the Battle Engines from the PP forums:
Khador Gun Wagon:
SPD 7 Mat 7 Rat 5. Def 10 ARM 20, 22 boxes.
Costs 10 points.
-Two Pow 14 AOE 4 bombards.
-Pow 12 horses that cause Knockdown.
Special rule lets it melee and shoot.

General Battle Engine Stuff:
Huge base for all warmachines.
Can't be thrown, knocked down, slammed, pushed, or made stationary.
Can run, aim, charge.
They have to deployed first.
They don't have concealment, cover, elevation; forest and clouds don't block los to them.
They have pathfinder and can be repaired.

that all looks quite reassuring. Powerful, but not game-breakingly so. Hmmn. The Dave is appeased.

Menoth alone knows what their plastic is made from, but it's not styrene, anyway. Poly cement won't touch it.
