I ca tweak a couple of words in that quote and come up with;

"Anyway, 40K's a stupid game to use SuperHeavies in. Play Epic if you want that sort of thing."

Same logic right? And don't you own two superheavies?

Only because he's a lightweight. Just kidding, that Titan is sweet.
Having played some really good games of Apoc and some stupidly dull ones, I can honestly say that super heavies have their place in 40k, but only in truly massive games played over a weekend on a gargantuan table. Put one into a standard 1500 point list and watch it tear bloody great chunks out of the enemy. I think that flyers will be less game changing, but it'll be nice if you warn your opponent first hand. Unless GW just make them all super-skimmers like the two in the DE codex.

Perhaps the Flyer variant of the Valkyrie, as seen in Imperial Armour volume 1 will make a comeback; Armour 11 instead of 12, and a Flyer instead of a skimmer. The Codex entry even alludes to the difference.

Armor 12 on a flyers is a bit much. I would like to see the AV come down to about 11 10 10 on Valks and at the same time drop the points value. I think that would bring more of those out to play... for as much as people said they would want them I sure have not seen many on he table.

on topic but on a tangent.... What are the nids going to get?

Still rumored as July wd rule set
Apoc style rules, strafing/bombing runs, rapid insertion/extraction, special missions, dogfighting?
Thunder hawk is NOT likely
Codex based releases...
Dark eldar raven
Eldar night wing?
Ig hydra
Nid harpy
Non codex releases...
Ig thunderbolt
Csm hell blade
Tau remora
No necron release?
Ork fighta/bomma
No SM release?

Suspected non codex releases will only be rules...models already FW...
Necrons may get something with their codex.
Raven/night wing likely to be combined kit.
So, it'll be like spearhead but with more wings and less tracks. I'm a bit sad at the rumour that the TBolt wont be getting a plastic kit.
*sigh*

I have 1 built and another sat in a box in a long queue of things sat in boxes. They are bleeding expensive and bloody huge on a regular sized table. Having a squadron of them is something I'm thinking of for the future. In the meantime I have far more devious plans afoot.

the Harpy that is it... that should not count as anything... it sucks sooo bad... if it comes out I reckon people will use it as a flyrant... there is no way that thing is as good as a thunderbolt...

Well, no. But then again, a Thunderbolt isnt available in any standard codex. Plus Tbolts look like they will remain FW only.
If Harpies become available in plastic in summer I may have to get one to babysit my Gargoyles.
