Wargaming in the Northern Japan

Post by Gralnik603 » Tue Mar 08, 2011 8:12 am

Hello All,
Just found your website and not sure if this is the right section but just wanted to get the word out. I help run a wargaming group in the North located in Misawa Japan in the Aomori prefecture. We are mostly military members but are always looking for new players. It would be nice if there is a map somewhere showing the location and contact information of gaming groups throughout Japan. We run tournaments and run standard gaming every Saturday. If anyone would like more information, or post this in the correct location please feel free to contact me.

Currently we are doing an 1850 "Practice Tourney" the first saturday in April. We haven't worked out the weekend yet but in May we are hosting our annual Mini-con where Saturday and Sunday from 9-9 we have gaming of all sorts going on. It ranges from 40k, fantasy, board games, card games, and whatever else can be thought up. For a fact there will be a 1850 tournament on the saturday of mini-con weekend. Currently our group up here is 8-15 strong depending on work. Over the last year we have grown ten fold and always look forward to meeting gamers and bringing them into our folds.... And of course you will have to keep me in the loop of your tournament schedule.

I have a year and a half left in Japan and would love to bring my army down for some weekend gaming. I currently am rocking about 9k worth of orks fulfilling most Apoc datasheets......

Sounds like a lot of fun... I have sold off most of my orks but I am always building more of them one way or another... if I have the money I will head up the the Tournament in the first week of April.. wish I had know earlier but I will just have to deal with it...

Thanks for joining the group. I think it is very important to get as many gamers in Japan on the one forum. Especially if it is this one!

It would be cool to take a trip up your way some time. Probably not in time for your tourney, but keep us informed about what's happening your way.

I am sure they are all busy flying people out of the dangerous areas... from what I understand they are air men and that means they are busy..
