Well, I played an intro game of BB tonight, and I'm hooked.
I also want to say that I'm interested in putting together a league. I'll be getting my own pitch and team (anybody interested in a human team?) so I'll be interested in seeing a fun and inclusive league set up.
I propose:
• A schedule-less league with a one or two "divisions" (Mie and Nagoya- just for fun) and league standing updated
• No commissioner (sorry, I read a little of the last three pages and that isn't all too healthy, so lets keep it democratic)
• No set schedule. Just play games as you can. Play at Mondo books (it's a great location), at Kuwana, at Yokaichi, at Joshin, at Ogaki or in your buddy's home. Just record your result (with highlights) and just have fun with it. Opponents and teams don't have to be part of the league for a game to count. (Just no playing against yourself, beating up your child's team [for shame!] or against a computer.

)
• A point system based on rewarding players for playing games, but still keeping it a little competitive.
An example: 3- points for a win; 2- for a tie; 1- for a loss
•A league standing recording records of all teams in the league. According to the above a proposed point system your team can either be best by winning a lot of games or just playing a lot of games. I think both are excellent.

Also the league standing are just for fun and bragging rights. There isn't too much stock to be put into them, and many of the most powerful teams could be at the bottom due to dormancy.
• It will be a year-long league.
I also propose:
• 2/300 yen entry fee per player. Enter as many teams as you like. Old and new are welcome.
• The 2/300 yen fee goes toward purchasing the blood bowl trophies (4).
• 3 BB-tournaments are held in the year. (Proposed dates would be - Nagoyahammer, Orktoberfest (if it returns) and Winterblitz) At these tournaments, it would be enter a team as you like. The player and team are paired off in a ladder seated by the points in the standing. This means if there are an odd number of players, top point holding players will advance to the next round. (Being held on one day of these events, I hope this gives time to enjoy some other game or socialize.) The "winner" will take home a trophy.
• All trophies are owned by "the league". They are recycled every year and players holding the trophy must return them to the following year's event.
• Individual (surviving?) players-models shall be nominated and an MVP selected by a vote of the league participants.
Well, what do you guys think? Too ambitious? I'm not going to argue the points so just take the points you like (hopefully all of them.

) and keep them alive in this discussion.
Cheers.
