Cricket is a game for gentleman, my dear Admiral. Please do not presume to bring this magnificent sport into this sordid discussion.

One such as yourself couldn't possibly understand the subtle nuances of this magnificent game. I would also wager that even though you claim to be a highly decorated Naval Veteran of high rank, your malodorous presence would be most unwelcome at the Pavilion at Lords.

One also wonders whether you would even know which end of the bat one is supposed to hold. However, one has to admit that uncouth as your post is, the sound of finest willow upon a land raider hull would be most pleasing to the ears.

I believe it was the World Wide War rule pack that had the best systm for sportsmanship. It was literally a series of questions like, "Did you opponent present their army`s codex when you had a question about rules regarding their list?" etc. etc. and each question added a point to their score. Basically, if you were and even half-decent human being you`d quickly accumulate 7-8 points under that system (and downright "nice guys" easily scored the full ten points). If you were a WAAC douche who relied on deception to win on the other hand, scores were more like 2-3 points. It was a fair and reasonable system and I can`t see how anyone (other than a WAAC douche) would object to it, so I`d like to see it at all tournies. :)

Oh wait, we`re not actually discussing the merits of sportsmanship scores? Okay, then I`m down for stomping a mudhole in some peoples` groins! Hell yeah!!

Oh not your cricket bat....worthless... the only reason I would use a cricket bat instead of a baseball bat is I would not want to get paint makes on it... I figured that would be the only thing I could use a cricket bat for...

That was funny.
I would think that the followers of the ruinous powers would like sportsmanship scores. Give them something to laugh about after the tournament as they drink blood from the skulls of thier enemies.
"Ooooh...There goes the big, dangerous "Sportsmanship" champion. I am sooooo scared. harhar"
"Get him over here so we can set him on fire."
"Hey, Miss Congeniality! Yeah you pencil neck! Come here. I want to congratulate you on your biiiiig win!"
"Hey, my skull is empty. Lets go find that artsy guy with the "Pretty Paintjob" trophy."
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

All laughs aside I think Sportsmanship is very much a way to improve the quality of the event...

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I was watching the England game last night and thinking bloody hell how many fouls would there be without the ref?
Then I thought, my god, 40k doesn't even have a ref. I guess that's why tournanments throw that whole sportsmanship thing into the mix.

Sure 40k can never be the same as football but without a ref maybe it would be.

As my mate Egor always tells me whenever I start to cry when losing. "It's supposed to be fun, the idea is to enjoy."
