I love Fantasy. It is the game I'm second most invested into, after FOW. Granted BP is starting to take a hold on me, but I still love the magic and steel of WHFB. Even with 40k's 6th ed. coming out, I think I'll keep myself occupied with piecing together my Dwarves.
A couple things that are needed to change the WHFB scene (in my humble opinion) is the need for some more constant players to be present at Joshin, always offering the sight of FB games to excite the crowds and offer an opponent. I think Koji has been the most constant in brining FB to Joshin, but Jus has not been as present recently. (I'm sure he's busy.) Also we lost Frans, who always offered a good game, or a conversation on tactics and FB-stuff. I might add 'orrible green hordes of Ashmie and the blue horde of ToD haven't been fielded as they have little ones to raise now. MtP is occupied with just about every game plus three children of his own. Recently, Rob said that he wasn't all that take with WHFB in its present form.
The positive side is we have Tenorikuma who has brought more W.Elf mayhem. (To the displeasure of bearded folk.) We may get new blood soon.... so there are promises for the future. (And lo' and behold, as I write Lovejoy posts he has an army of his own!

)
Another things to consider is FB really didn't take off last year until July-August, as I recall. We've just come out of the post-NH down season, so I expect the energy should crank up as we look forward to Orktoberfest 2! (Should we spice things up this year and have something exciting to compliment the event?)
My real concern is FB has been so 1-on-1 recently. This and the campaign map I think leads to competitive attitudes. That is not to say the games are uber-competitive. I had a blast with my last game, of course, it was a lot of fun, competitive, but without real concern for winning or losing. That said, I should mention it wasn't a map game either. I feel that things can be a little too competitive in the map-based campaign (score keeping and all) for my taste and I'd rather see some team games, games oriented around new scenarios or just some good old high point games to get lots of figures on the board and good match up of wits.
That's my take. Otherwise, my dwarves are always ready for a battle if anyone wants to challenge them. (Do you dare say anything about our stature or beards?
