I'm pleasantly impressed with the trailers. This last one really eases my concern PJ was going to run off on his over-sized, overly serious epics again. I liked the concern to show the new film as light-hearted as the book. :)

I just shit my pants in excitement.

I'm going to be in Thailand over the winter holidays, a country with reasonable release dates for movies compared to good old Nippon, and will endeavour to see it before you lot and tell you, in painful detail, just how good it is :)

I'll be home in Oz for Xmas, so will undoubtably see it then. I didn't realise Hobbit was going to be another trilogy!

I forget, how much were the LotR releases delayed here? I don't seem to recall it being that long, but then it was a while ago.

You may actually be right. I recall it being a lot less time than usual. But I saw all of them back home on visits so I might be getting confused.

I do know that Avengers took over 4 months though!

If it follows the LOTR it will drop about April in Japan.

This one's a rare simultaneous worldwide release: December 14.
