Very tasty looking game.

today I almost finished Lelith. There is definitely room for improvement in both her skin and the NMM, but as both of these things were pretty much shots-in-the-dark, I'm reasonably satisfied that she doesnt look like a nurgle ogre*. There's one last thing to do, and that is makeup. Yeah, you heard me...

First up: overall shots. Lighting is all screwed up cos I'm using different lights to usual. I hate lighting shots. I really suck at it :(

(yeah, I know, I know. Big seam right up his bum. Not about to fix it now. Got fed up with filling, tbh and just got on with the painting...)

Now, here are 3 alternative eyeshadow ideas:

Which do you think is best? Also, Kbear - if you want tattoos, can you supply me with a pic of one? I'm not sure what a woodsie tat looks like, and the internet aint helping much. Lots of high elf runes, but very little in the way of woodsie stuff.

*speaking of which, my 3 proxy nurgle ogryns shipped today, 1 day after I ordered em. How's that for speedy service? From Maelstrom, wouldyabelieveit?!?!

Nice model, MiJ. And ingenious work with the basing.

Today I finally got to work on my 15mm models again! I worked on my LMG platoon and bazookas, getting them painted up and adding flocking. :D Such a liberating experience after laboring at 28mm and with deadlines for so long!

Awesome work! I'd go with eyeshading option 1. Fits the overall subdued palette and ties in with the jade on the model elsewhere.

Me, I played a bunch of XCOM yesterday. May be a bit before I can tear myself away and get to painting again.
Feel free to call me Dave!

@MiJ - I think I agree with The Other Dave. The green fits well with the jade.

I checked the high elf runes and these two would seem the most appropriate give the nature of the mini. What I noticed about the difference in how the wood elves have evolved their high elf runes over time, is that they favour spirals. Typically they continue a curl so that it becomes a spiral. (An example of such spirals can be seen on this wardancer from the GW site:

Here are the high elf runes:

If you download the Wood Elf codex (the Japanese edition is free from the GW site), it has Wood Elf runes as decoration on some pages. Many of them are the same as or similar to the High Elf runes.

I spent today doing more work on my WW2 Russians. I should have enough done to run a reasonably sized demo game at the weekend.

I got the base colours on the trousers and smocks of one ten man squad of Germans.

Today I finished a terrain piece I was working on, got a lick of paint on some Romans and ran a demo game of Black Powder for two of Ikeda san's customers.

Today I worked (quel surprise :| ), and started sculpting some new bases for my stinkies (having used up all of the ones I had previously bought. May as well make my own variants, since I now have casting stuff which I didn't last time I was doing stinkies.) The stinky worms would've been finished today, but I couldn't go upstairs to airbrush em. Right now I'm watching a miniature mentor tutorial and drinking the last of my baileys. Note to self: buy more baileys - dat stuff is gooood...
