Hi Guys im a friend of Kanie Eric. Been here in mie for 7 years and never knew this site existed! Do you guys ever play german style strategy games like those published by Rio grande ? Or is this a more war games oriented affair? Ive never played a war game im afraid. Really i'm much more a PC gamer (skyrim, anything from Bioware, Civilzation, Total war series) but its good to know you guys are around, if complete war gaming virgins with no units are welcome to crash your events I might come.
Cheers

I love German-style board games. I usually try to bring one when I go to gaming events in Tsu.

Hello, welcome to the forums. Nice to meet you. We will be running boardgames and rpgs from the third weekend of the month for Tsu Center Palace. I'll keep you posted.
Starting again in January we will have a grand reopening of the club with The One Ring rpg in the morning and boardgames and cardgames the rest of the time.
Good to meet you, please come along if you can find the time.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Hi Browny and welcome to the forums.
I'm not much of a boardgamer myself, but I do like PC games. (Currently replaying Medieval 2 for the umpteenth time).
Feel free to post anywhere you like and jump into any ongoing discussions if you feel like it.

Regards,
P.

Howdy and welcome :) I'm based in Tsu, but have bugger all in the way of free time usually :( that said, I'm currently working my way through Mass Effect 2 (and have ME3 waiting for me for when I finish it) and I also spent most of last winter vacation playing skyrim.

Tabletop games-wise, I (like many on this forum) play warhammer 40k, as well as warmachine and Malifaux. In December I hope to take delivery of a board game called Battle for Alabaster from a British company called Studio McVey. It's a kickstarter, though, so delivery schedules are STC and all that.

There's a regular (tabletop) game event in Nagoya on the last Sunday each month, and as Ashmie mentioned, there will be a games day in Tsu starting soon. Tbh, the best thing to do is putter about the forums and see when folks are organising games events. Even if some folks are playing tabletop games, as long as you organise an opponent in advance (or just turn up and hope) then you should be good to go. Ask around - folks are pretty relaxe around here and will play most anything if you give em a heads-up.

Thanks guys,
Ashime, Teno, Tsu sounds good, im in a small town just north of Yokkaichi on the JR and Kintetsu lines.
My biggest problem is i have no board games, well i have Carcassone only.
Im a big german board game fan, that and Diplomacy.

Primarch- i really like total war med 2 but for me the total conversion mods are much better, easy and free to install too, have you tried The Third Age? its a LoTR mod, nothing better than commanding an army of Sindar against a hordre of urukhai, the work on the models is amazing

there are a lot of mod realistic conversions mods too, Stainless Steel is a mod conversion that expands the map, improves the combat ai etc.

me-in-japan, glad to meet another skyrim addict, i have put an insane amount of time into that game.
Mass effect was great too, for me the 1st one was the best but 2 and 3 looked better. Im currently trying out the F2P bioware The Old Republic, its ok, bit childish i guess, but thats star wars for you, a bit like a Wallmart Dune.

Ah ha! You finally made it. This is "Kanie Eric", but mortals know me as Konrad, and tremble before my might. Welcome to the very deepest, darkest pit of geekery in the Aichi, Mie, Gifu area.
Well, not the deepest or darkest, the cosplay floor at Mandrake is geekier and more than a little scary, but we are the center of foreign, 25 to 40 something flavor of game nerdom. You'll be right at home.
