Mate are you crazy. Do you have any idea what that would cost. Unless the points were a lot less. That said I have never played AI so I do not know how it is supposed to play or how many models are used. I can say that a dakka jet is £30 and a FW Faitabama is £60

Given that AI models are sold in pairs for fighters, I'd expect you'd need about 4 or 5 flyers to play. Given the figure scale you're also looking at a 24' by 16' playing area assuming AI is meant to be played on a regular table.

It could be interesting, but everyone would need a lot more flyers as well as a room to play in. Even I can't reach the centre of a 16' table.

Each AI game is between 2 and 12 aircraft. So not that many. And combine with air defense weapons and terrain targets, it would be a good time. Just have to use a whole floor for it and be very careful where you tread. Or use tables that aren't connected. That's be fun because you'd have to warn out for incoming fighters from other zones. I'm game to try once I get my dark talon.

And funny thing last Sunday. My gf comes I to the room while I'm painting. She finally took my advice, which I gave to get her off my back, to get a hobby. She took up knitting. Great but now se wants to show me everything. That's okay too. But of course she does it right as I'm doing an eyeball, etc. so I glance is all and she says, " at least I try to act like I'm interested in what you do!" well, same result. I couldn't paint after that because I was laughing so hard.

Not an official one but I think there is a fan one that has been play tested quite a bit.

I dunno about you lot, but when I paint I like to listen to something that, in some way, matches the tone or mood of whatever it is I'm painting. F'r example if I'm painting Eldar I might put on some Dragonforce, chaos marines might be Pantera, and Dark Eldar tend to get MCR or something electronicy like Jeanne Michel Jarre or suchlike.

This evening, I set out to paint : Showgirls

After a bit of rummaging, my iPod was coming up a blank. It seemed my collection was sadly lacking. But, thanks to the wonder of YouTube, I was able to commune with my inner handbag, and get to work on the girlies, aided and abetted by the music of: Lady GaGa.

Seriously, say what you like about her, that lass has a hella set of pipes on her. Songwriting ain't bad, either. I find I have a newfound respect for the GaGa. Or maybe I just managed that communing a little too well...

I'd post pics, but am on the iPhone and have no idea how to send pics from here to the internetto. I'll take proper shots once I'm done, though. For now: green dress done completely, skin base coated. Tomorrow: shade/highlight skin, paint corset, shoes and gloves, and attempt sheer on the tights.

Received my reaches sm librarian this morning and got him a quarter painted already. Pretty nice model. And got some more done in the gaming table and out some paint coats on my ruins and ruin city bases. Not a bad day.
