F'r example if I'm painting Eldar I might put on some Dragonforce, chaos marines might be Pantera, and Dark Eldar tend to get MCR or something electronicy like Jeanne Michel Jarre or suchlike.

This evening, I set out to paint : Showgirls

After a bit of rummaging, my iPod was coming up a blank. It seemed my collection was sadly lacking. But, thanks to the wonder of YouTube, I was able to commune with my inner handbag, and get to work on the girlies, aided and abetted by the music of: Lady GaGa.

Seriously, say what you like about her, that lass has a hella set of pipes on her. Songwriting ain't bad, either. I find I have a newfound respect for the GaGa. Or maybe I just managed that communing a little too well...
I drove across Rannoch Moor a few years ago listening to Monster. I like her. Have a look on Youtube for some of her early stuff - just her and a piano, totally different from the pop sound. The country version of Born This Way is pretty cool, too.
I'd post pics, but am on the iPhone and have no idea how to send pics from here to the internetto.
If you already have a photobucket account, get the Photobucket app - you can upload photos directly from your camera roll. The only downside is the image filenames are ugly.

This month, I have mostly been painting motorbikes. Photos at some point.

There is proactive and then there is Spevna. :D

@M_i_J - You made a post back in 2010 saying you liked Lady Gaga, this is hardly news. But good job on getting to work on DuBois and her crew. I want to see photos.

Ha! Thanks for making my morning. It's a test day today. I needed this.
Brilliant. I've just got images of disco lights and club speakers in your hobby room now. Trying to paint whilst dancing. Hah! I recommend Hole the first album live through this or better still Kylie.

What are showgirls? Cheerleaders for Blood Bowl?
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

@Ash - the Showgirls are a crew for Malifaux. Check em out on google or the Wyrd minis website. Very nice minis, and a pleasing change from all that spikey chaos armour and slime and whatnot.

@Prim - sir, you have the memory of an elephant and I salute you for it. Aye, I may well have said I liked gaga in the past, but I was particularly struck by her stuff again yesterday evening. It's not like I listen to her music all the time - I had forgotten how catchy a lot of it is.

@people who recommended photo upload apps - aha, I hadn't thought of that. I shall get on it forthwith. Ta very much :)

Very true MiJ, very true.

Today I filed my tax refund. Apparently they don't give close scrutiny to people earning under 10,000,000 yen. No problems for me then :D ... :) ... :? ... ... :( ... ;)

A likely story!

Also, my memory is terrible, but I do have a search option at the top right of the page.

That is the good point about getting older, you can like something and be proud! :D (Well, except the Star Wars prequels. Naturally, one should NEVER admit to liking them ;) )

In the last couple of days I have....

Assembled my Ten Thunders (Malifaux) crew. Talk about hard work. No instructions, dynamic poses and lots of wee pieces makes for a tough day at the workbench. Still, it was worth it in the end, the new plastics look really ace, even without a lick of paint on 'em.

Worked on some new scenery for FOW and WFB/BP. Nothing too special, just some roads and such.

Continued working on my FOW Panzer 4s, Malifaux Neverborn, WFB corsairs and top secret project.

Lost a lot of respect for MiJ. Lady Gaga? WTF? How can someone who listens to Metallica, like that auto-tuned derivative drivel? You know she is the mutant offspring of a one night stand Madonna had with a young Marilyn Manson back in the 90's, right? What absolute shite? :D

What's Mikes top secret project? Wow we need a thread for that actually. :D :?:
I reckon it's Bolt Action, anyone else want to hazard a guess?

I reckon it's a Lady Gaga costume for those Special Nights out on the town that he enjoys so much

Incidentally, what ten thunders crew did you go for? I've been reading book 4 these past few days and I am really starting to be tempted by the Lynch mob. (Just to be clear, the master's name is Jakob Lynch. Nowt to do with hanging folk. Still not a very nice chap, mind you.) It has cool stuff like evil showgirls, the Hungering Darkness and can take a variety of neverborn. On the down side, no Ninjas :(
