I went to Kasugai with my wife on the bicycle today. We checked out the apartment that I grew up in 20 years prior and then bicycled home through the rain. Now I did a bit of work on a few scouts and the M20 greyhound and a couple jeeps.

Not a very productive day.

@Koji: Nice work. I like colors you've chosen, but I'd do something as ToD suggested. Personally, I like my models to have some contrasting color on the details. Kind of like the eyes you painted on your Space Marines. I liked the blue against the yellow.

@Ashmie: I like how the royalist musketeers are coming along. The kid is cute, too.

@Miguelsan- Thanks for that. Very creative and clear. What are you using for tanks? (I'm sure it's too much to hope that those Fire Dragons are going to be walking.)
@Job- I live in Kasugai. We should hang out one of these days.

Thanks for the suggestions Job and The Other Dave. I think I will paint the helmets white, the stones ice blue, weapons bone white and use old gold for bits and bobs.

I think I will try an oil wash too.

Nagoya Hammer minis prep is 100%. Painting is about 20% done. :)

@Ashmie - Nice stuff mate!

Been just painting bits and pieces. Almost have my vindicator tank done and now just waiting for the rest to arrive. I can't believe it has taken over a month to deliver! So just building terrain and what not. Built this yesterday. Chapter keep with landing pad.

Really have to get to putting my trees on hills and such. Tomorrow I hope.

Have a nice vacation MiJ
Hah! Vacation, he sez! I may be in a beach resort town where it's 28degrees, but I'm at work here, chiefy! I'm currently narked off at the same things that nark me off every time I come here. Why do I have to pay extra to get toppings on my kebab (and I mean a couple bits of tomato and some lettuce, here)? Why do I have to pay extra to get a 570 dollar delivery of flowers sent 10 minutes up the road? Why do I have to pay 66 dollars just for the privilege of Internet access? And why on god's green earth do I have a TV in my (very expensive) hotel room which SHOWS NOTHING EXCEPT PAY PER VIEW MOVIES?!?!? Can a man not even watch the flipping news in this country? It won't even let me plug in my own bloody iPad and watch that on the TV screen (all the buttons are locked out, so I can't change the input channel)

I mean, have I just gotten spoiled by living in Japan for so long that I expect a modicum of appreciation for the customer, other than as a source of money? I'm sure Scotland isn't this bad...

Today I worked. Now I'm home. I think I'll paint. Yeah!

@MiJ: I think you are just asking for the wrong toppings. Try asking for 'Roo and bullfrongs. I believe those are added next to free. I think Aussies, like porky Americans, have decided that veggies are some kind foreign fare or for hippies. :D

But, do enjoy being legally mugged in a truly capitalist society like Oz. If one considers themselves as an indentured servant, it isn't so bad. :D

@ Koji: I look forward to seeing the result.

Yesterday I got two marine medics almost finished and a tank driver for my vindicator. Not bad for a days work. Just a few things left to do on them tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, does anyone know if Ikeda-San is going to be at town crier tomorrow? He's not replying to my emails. I'd rather not drive all the way up there to find town crier closed again.

Yes and absolutely. Hope you can find a good book to read instead. Have a break from the Internet I would. Perfect excuse.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

The weather finally calmed down enough over the past couple days for me to get some spraying done.

6mm Iron Warriors on the workbench, 28mm Scythes of the Emperor next up.
