And yet again the Admiral and I take a thread and totally derail it.

More painting, goals and motivation please.
Less discussing which models are greener.

Apologies to all for any inconvenience. We now return you to our regularly scheduled thread.

HUZZAH!!!!!!!!!!

glory be and rejoice, for yea, the time is upon us!

thats right folks, dave actually finished a mini. Three of them, in fact. Here they are, the lovely ladies of the Witch Coven of Garlghast. To see the pics properly, right click em and select "view picture". There are 3 witches in there, yknow...

I know lefty and righty are a bit out of focus, but my camera is playing silly buggers and I cant be assed re-shooting them. Ill take more photos of em once the Egregore is done. (after the weekend, with a bit of luck)

btw, middle witch's bum crack is not as heavily shaded as it looks. its quite subtle, actually, but the lighting wasnt set up right so she caught the shadow. I should also mention that their armour and robes are not grey. no grey was used in the making of this scheme! theyre purple and green, just done so that the camera doesnt pick it up. You can see it with yer eyes, tho. So much for modern technology...

Looking good. Of course I hate those gals in game terms, but the models are aces.

Nice! PP does have some of the coolest models in the bizness. Nothing quite like sexy S&M necromantic dragon cultist witches to brighten up your day.
Feel free to call me Dave!

For me the paint job far outshines the model pose looks static. No for me but to each his own. But hey painted models from MIJ are always a good thing.

Mark this day on your calendar. I agree with everything the Admiral said.
Paint = Ace
Models = Static.

while i usually despise static models, in this case PP are ok. The witch coven pretty much just do two things, both in the game and in the fluff:

1) stand, facing the egregore. No moving, no wafting of hands. just standing. facing the egregore.

2) turn invisible.

PP wisely went for representing option 1 in the sculpt. option 2 would have resulted in 3 empty bases with footprints on em...

ps, i just watched the first ep of season 5 of doctor who. Great scene near the start where the doc has just regenerated and is running about like a loon in a small scottish girl's kitchen, demanding various foods and then spitting em out and labelling them disgusting. He sticks his head in the fridge, looks around, then pulls his head out and says "what am I doing? You! You're Scottish. Fry something!"

I love doctor who. just bloody marvellous, it really is :D :D :D
