Incidentally my crew rating is now high enough to trigger "The Final Reckoning" in case anybody cares.

After that I came home and put a bit more paint down on my Napoleonic Light Infantry. They're getting there, surely but steadily.
The first to christen the holy table of Pikealot :D ...hmmm....I need to edit that...Mikealot!

By this stage your cutlass crew doesn't even need weapons, they'll just fist fight the enemy to death! ;) with some ol' school British boxing! :D

Games like Malifaux, Warmachine and such do actually attract players because of the rules. At the very least, people stick around because they like the rules, even if the minis drew them in.

As for the minis, the line I heard was that everything will be going to that plastic the newer minis are in.

Actually, I like games because of their rules. As someone who is not really a painter, model aesthetics will only take me so far in buying stuff. I am more interested in rule sets that are easy to follow, quick to play and aren't filled with massive inconsistencies.

Anyway, today I did some more painting on my Napoleonic stuff. :D

I did a wicked BBQ for dinner.

Iberico pork
Herb Chicken
Scallops

It was awesome.

I also installed HULU on my PS3. That too is awesome.

What's Hulu?

Today I played a bit of biohazard 6. First impression: bit hard to control, and combat/movement is a bit stop/start due to a huge number of "quick! Hammer the square button as quick as you can!" Moments. Maybe I'm just spoiled after silent hill:downpour - sure, it had its own glitches, but movement and combat flowed very well, and it was atmospheric without being annoyingly dark, which is another of resi's issues. All may be resolved once the sun comes up - it's still night time at the mo...

HULU is online TV.

For 980 yen a month you have access to a load of stuff. Some is recent ( Walking Dead). Some is old ( all the X-files). They all have Jap subtitles so I can watch stuff with the missus.

You can also install it on multiple devices.

I painted up a Necro/40K bridge. A few final touches to go (like safety stripes, can't have enough safety stripes). Got another bridge ready to prime and I want to touch up some old Necro bulkheads to hold them together.

I finished assembling most of the 4ground buildings and ruins I bought during my trip to Oz late last year. I'm pretty happy with their stuff, it's a but pricey but the models come up nice!

Also just about finished the last of my Ogres on foot (Ogre bulls and Ironguts) and my firebelly. Tyrant needs to be finished next, then onto finishing the Mournfang.
So many games, so little time....

Got to painting up my chaos army and decided on going with the Fallen. So semi Dark angel colors to snub the imperium. They have come out really nice and would like to get more daemon engines but alas the eye of terror said I have to wait till next month. Not like I'd have time to paint them anyway. Today I have to get to painting some skin on some cultists and washing the skin on the helbrute. Then doing the trim on the chosen. Try to get it looking decent for this weekend.

I built and painted an old Macross Valkyrie that I had around and that cost me 252 yen second hand. With those prices I'm excited the Eldar have a new unbalanced ubber robot coming
A very mediocre paintjob but on the self next to my other mechs it's not so obvious.
