After I got home my wife called Immigration and spoke to someone in the visa processing department.

Turns out that person 1 was half right and so was person 2.

IF I get given a 1-year spouse visa I CAN'T apply for Permanent Residency.
IF I get given a 3-year (or more) spouse visa I CAN apply for Permanent Residency immediately.

The person we spoke to also said that since I had been here for 9 years already, had 1 year left on my working visa and that we had actually been married for a while, that I should get the 3-year visa straight away.

Of course, we are assuming here that person 3 knows what they are talking about as well. :?

What a chew on.

@J-R - The Kitty-nators should fit right in with the rest of your army.

Tonight I cleaned and assembled some more Anglo-Zulu War minis and I also put together a Celtic chariot for good measure. :D

Mr. angry looks angry. Good job :D

Today I did a lot of pondering and not a lot of anything else. I currently have 2 dark Eldar venoms and 2 Eldar vypers. I would like to convert the 2 vypers into corsair venoms. Only...I can't figure out how. I have 2 sets of spare walls left over from the venom sets, but the complex curve they fit onto would he very very tricky to replicate. I need to somehow cobble together a passenger section from plasticard or bitz, and also have a gun mount on there somewhere (probably taken in some way from from the vyper rear gun mount. It's all at that sit-and-stare-and-wait-for-inspiration stage. So far, inspiration is keeping to itself :(

What to do, what to do...
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

@ prim and Mij. Go with what Mij suggests. I cannot tell you the loathing I feel for workers here that know nothing about anything having to do with their place of employment. The sheer number of grey hairs on my head is a testament to this fact. Go with what the website states. As usual, it's the right way, the wrong way and the Japanese way. . Best of luck.

Yesterday I got in a bit of painting to calm me down. Real life shit hit me hard this week and I've been reeling. Now I'm back to mad as hell and firm. I got a lot of work done on my helbrute. Now onto conversions for him. Then figured out the paint scheme for my cultists that would go with my army theme but keep them in their pay grade.

And luckily after work I maganed to swing by the games workshop store in Yokkaichi that I only recently found out about from Badruck. Owe you for that rob. I was happy to find a very good store with lots in stock and friendly staff. A lot of the stock is discounted and was decently priced. The store already had all the new eldar stock. That new wraithknight for only 11,000 seems decent. After trudging up to Nagoya and often finding no one there at the shops or waiting five months for an order that still hasnt arrived, I'm a little pleased to have this store in my backyard. If anyone hasn't been here, and comes down to Yokkaichi to check it out, they have a website and it's only a five minute walk from the kintetsu line station.
The one, the only.

Putting foot to butt all over the universe.

@PV - Sounds like a reasonable place to get some GW stuff, if I should need to in the future, i.e. when I have sorted everything else with my local supplier ~sigh~ :?
What is the name of the store and website?

@ J-R: Nice work! Those terminators look fearsome.

@ Prim: Good luck with the rat race of the bureaucratic system. Just think that all this paperwork and labyrinthine rules make for full employment of 3 good bureaucrats. :(

Worked on my Polish troops again. Added pain to the cockades and a more yellow to the uniforms. Bit by bit the painting goes forward...

If anyone knows Ikeda San's (Town Crier) home phone or alternative Mobile number (His listed one has been disconnected), I'd love to be able to call him before I go to his shop. Kind of getting expensive to keep going and find the store closed.

Cheers.

I finally got my walkways finished. Took longer than expected (as always) but I think I am getting the technique down, so knocking out the next set of terrain will go a bit smoother.
And I'd attach pics but I'm getting a Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." Message. I better uncork this summon moderator potion.
