Cool. Good idea.

General de Brigade Hercule Lafayatte

Regiment of the Line
15th (standard)
33rd (standard)
48th (standard)

Light Regiment
(standard)

2e Regiment of Cuirrasiers
(standard)

1er Regiment d'Infanterie de la Legion de Vistule [Vistula Legion]
(large)
*I'd like this regiment to be rated something like the Young Guard regiments in the AT2 or the rules found in AT1. Historically, the Vistula Legion was included in the Young Guard division (1812). Of course, they weren't exactly Imperial Guard and I guess they've already been written about by Warlord. My suggested line would be Firepower 4 (large) Morale 4 Stamina 4 (large) Rules "Tough Fighters, Elite 5+". (AT1)

2 Batteries 6 pounders
1 Howitzer

70 28mm miniatureS

Yeah, welcome to the world of painting Napoleonics. It all looks so easy and fun, then one realizes the slog and time-consumption that goes into even one unit. \

Of course most of us just painted up to table top quality. No need to make things gorgeous, unless that's your thing. Even a little paint goes a long way. :)

A three colour (or should that be tri-colore?) minimum and all the models pointing in the right direction should be enough.

But yeah, Napoleonics are strangely more work than they appear.

I can't make this after all as I'm back home in recovery :) Anyway I hope to make the next one, historical 2 with ancients. Have fun and sorry I couldn't make it.

Anyone else planning to come?
I will be there i have my (train tickets bought and paid for) but to say I have an army would be a bold face lie. I have models with primer and one colour on them. What should I do? There is next to no chance that I will have anything painted this week...

In my opinion, just come with what you have.

I played my first game of Napoleonics with only one regiment painted. In my second game I had two units painted and a third half painted (out of a total of 4). If you look at the last game, there were several units of Russians still unpainted and my howitzers were still unfinished and a regiment still unflocked.

I say, just try your best to get as much work as done as possible and come and enjoy the game.

Don't stress too much about getting stuff done. No sense in raising your blood pressure over a few licks of paint. As and when you have time, concentrate on getting one unit done at a time. You can break it down into manageable chunks by doing the command models first and then the front rank and so forth. As for the game, next weekend, it is up to you what you bring along. Painted or unpainted doesn't make a difference to having fun with friends. :D

Exactly as Prim says. Bit by bit.

And sometimes "primer" is the best camouflage! :D
