Well, anyhoo, I've been diligently squeezing in a wee tiny bit f painting when I can, and my support weaps are almos done. Just need to do the crew and bases now. I've also really started to come round to biohazard 6. The interweaving 4 person story arc is actually rather clever, and must have been a bugger to write.
PS: read the reviews on this.

I made the mistake of doing so while on a bus full of school kids (we're off to visit a university for a shinro thing today). Near peed myself laughing, so I did. Got some right funny looks...

Re: What did you do today.
Got my soul grinder in the mail today which made me happy. got my other land raider based yesterday along with some other armor do dads and terrain doors and such. Picked up some nice hatches at joshin. Got to repainting my space marine army today. Very nice. Did some work on my terminator squad and on my chapter master. Then did some painting on my chaplain on bike as well. Yesterday I finished off six chaos hounds and put together some devastators that have been sitting there for months in pieces. Time to get my ass in gear. got a game this weekend and the next. I'd like to have everything painted. Wish I wasn't going to Costco tomorrow but when the relish jar runs dry, you gotta do what you gotta do!

Re: What did you do today.
Recently, my hobby mojo has been flapping around a bit randomly. I kiiiinda still want to paint, but I'm also very busy at work, lacking sleep, and have generally been a bit out of sorts recently (eg for the first time in my life I was late for work the other day. Apparently my alarm rang, I turned it off in my sleep and snoozed on until 8:15, at which point I awoke, sleepily checked the time, and, amidst a flurry of swearing, made it into work by 8:40, in time for my first class, but late for official-start-time of 8:20.) Anyway, to summarize: MiJ's mojo is out of whack. My painting table reflects this. On it I have: 3 eldar support weapons, 9 guns and 6 gunners, 1 wraithlord, 1 wraithseer, 1 venom, 2 vypers (awaiting inspiration for how exactly to convert em to venoms), 9 small mechanical spiders, a variety of arcanists, 1 troll blood shaman, 1 troll, about 50 pots of paint and a whole slew of empty bottles, glasses and candy wrappers. And my bits boxes.
I just can't seem to focus on anything, and that's usually a sign that I should take a break. To compound the problem, my battle foam bag for BfA finally arrived today. I've got that on another table, and am pondering what to put in it (not the bfA stuff - that can happily go in the box it came in. The BfA bfoam bag is a good size for maaaaaaybe my corsairs? Anyhoo - I need to think on that, too.
Hum. Maybe sleeping more might help bring the world into focus...

Painted a little bit tonight and watched/listened to Open Range at the same time.
Now, sleep seems to be the wise thing to do.

After a busy week of work I managed to sit down and paint yesterday. I think I barely made it through 30 minutes of brush time before I got sick of it. Looks like the mojo thing is contagious.
I did spend some time looking at how to paint white and black and at colour schemes for Ultramarines, Ravenguard, Salamanders and Minotaurs across a couple of websites.
Today is going to be a hobby free day as well, some shopping with my wife and then lazing around the house for the rest of the day.
@ All the painty types - Can anyone recommend a really, really dark grey? I'm looking for something that looks close to black whilst still leaving enough shade difference to actually allow the use of a black wash/ink in the recesses to darken them. A matt tone would be best.

Re: What did you do today.
@Prim: without wishing to be facetious, a regular grey with a bit of black mixed in is what I'd use. You don't need to use exactly the same tone over all your minis, or even over a single mini. Just put some of whatever grey you have and add a tab of black until you get the tone you're after. You're going to need to add black/white to shade/highlight anyway. As long as you start with the same grey each time you should be fine. I use astronomican grey as my go-to, but it's oop now.
As for me, today my wife was sick (nasty cough) and was in bed all day. It's compounded by the fact that she's 6 months pregnant and therefore can't take much in the way of medicine. So, today was spent in sole care of Sean - age 1 year and 4 months and terribly, terribly time consuming. So, no painting today.

@M_i_J - I hope your wife is ok. Hopefully she'll get well soon.me_in_japan wrote:@Prim: without wishing to be facetious, a regular grey with a bit of black mixed in is what I'd use. I know I CAN mix the paint I want, but I actually would prefer to use the same tone over all my minis where possible. Plus I am lazy.

Re: What did you do today.
Decided to go check out the local Japanese gaming group in Yokkaichi. They seemed to be a friendly bunch and the gaming room was well stocked with terrain and discounted items to buy. They game from 1-8 and it was nice to roll in after lunch, get in a game and be back for dinner. It also was nice that it was only 10 minutes drive from my place. After buying some well priced goods, I got in a game with the first person to show up after myself. It was my Vanguard chapter of dark angels/SMC vs grey knights/blood angels. He has some bad reserve rolls mixed with even worse deep striking deviation. I pretty much tabled him and it ended 6-0 by the fifth turn with only one unit left of his and I had only lost six or seven marines and one of two dreads. It was a good time and it was nice to know I have a close to home gaming spot to get my fix of carnage.

This is what I worked on yesterday, but didnt get the time to add the pics.
It is the beginnings of a skirmish board for Necromunda/Inquisimunda. I want to start some more skirmishy stuff so thought a cityscape with some height would be cool. I have also started cobbling together some RT era / Old skool looking mini gangs. So far I've got;
Orks
Squats
2 generic human gangs
Eldar
Space Marines (beakies) for when the local PDF cant get the job done.
Anyway, here is the board so far.
