Thanks for the game, PV! I think you are being a bit overly pessimistic - the terrain was certainly in my favour but you had a lot of high strength vehicles which were a bit hard to get though without my old Railgun Broadsides - not that I'm complaining about the new Broadside loadout!

But with the more valuable objectives mostly in the one area, and you having a fair number of troops left and generating more, I think you had a good chance of winning still. Anyway it was fun, glad we could finally get together for a rematch![/quote]

I actually only had one unit of chaos cultists left for capturing objectives and man, those guys are built to last! And two more turns at least of shooting, lol, no, it was over. And your rail guns did nothing in our first game, yet those high yield missile pods were devastating. I'll take a ton of str 7 hits over one twin linked str 8 shot any day. it was not good having no terrain but hey, not every battlefield is gonna be a hive city or mountain range. It was my first time to use my chaos force and now I know what worked and what didn't. I've tweaked it and look forward to my next game with them.

Got one terminator painted up some today. That was it. But it is tanabata weak for the kids and that will give me plenty of time to paint here and there at work. Time to get my tau ready!

And it is also a good reminder to myself why gaming day is no gf day. Where was my head? I forgot to deep strike my daemon troops for the whole game. I forgot to use my gargoyles that were on my defiler and vindicators. I forgot to vector strike with my Bloodthirster. Forgot to use my feel no pain on my space marine unit with its banner and man, the list goes on. Where was my head? It was hot in that room but damn, I was out of it. From now on, gaming day is for one and I'm bringing a fan!
The one, the only.

Putting foot to butt all over the universe.

And it's not like you can just pop down to the conbini to buy it either. :)

Yesterday I did...nothing.
Today I may get some painting done after I get home from work, we shall see.

The bourbon is bashed! Congratulations lads. Glad I could partake in at least one of those sessions. Good you got a game of Relic in as well, I love that game. I haven't done anything hobby wise other than clearing out the attic back here in the UK. I found two golden oldie classics of which I repaired the boxes. Escape from Atlantis and Lost Valley of the Dinosaurs. Heroquest is here as well but is such a big game the mind boggles at how I would get it over to Japan. Perhaps best left.
My condition otherwise is on the mend thanks to Glastonbury coverage and general sorting my life out back here, maybe back to work the Summer if all goes to plan. One day at a time though. Happy gaming :D

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Escape from Atlantis! Duuuuuuuuuuuuude! Natsukashi classic :D

Also, bringing Heroquest would totally be a Good Thing. Tricky, I appreciate, but indubitably Good.

Good to hear you're perking up :) Enjoy the beautiful British summer - it's steenkeeng humid here, in that kind of way where it's so humid the water is practically condensing and falling out of the air. It's like...100% humidity. We're all underwater...(wel, that's how it feels, anyway...)

Hmmm. Updated it may be, but I still prefer the old one. Ta for the link, though :)

Yesterday I had a casting disaster :( Turns out my mould is way too big and for some reason the two halves don't meet properly, resulting in oodles of leakage and resin pissing out everywhere all over my desk. On the plus side, having had minor similar incidents in the past, I had sensibly covered my desk in paper to protect it, but on the down side, that mould took a lot of silicon to make and is now, probably, useless :( It's me own fault, mind you. In retrospect it's clearly way too big to be useable. Dunno what I was thinking when I made it. So, we live and learn, I guess...

Quiet day, huh?

Well, I spent yesterday evening trying to salvage something from the wreckage of my casting mishap the other day*. I cut the moulds apart and attempted to use some more silicon to fill in the ends of the flow pipe where I'd separated the pieces of mould. We shall see how it went this evening. I also received a box of the new wraithguard, 2 boxes of dark eldar jetbikes, and a (at first inspection, at least) pretty well cast Illic Nightspear. I was pretty shocked, I can tell ya.

*the resin kind. Not the kind with warp storms and exploding heads, although to be fair it did look kinda similar.

Today I went to immigration and handed in my permanent residence application. Then I came home and took a nap. Oh the joys of having a day off.

Top tip for using yon Lilac chappy. Don't use him to charge big gribbly beasties in an attempt to beat them to death. He ain't very good at it. :D
