Infinity
This is a game a friend of mine turned me on to today. Apparently it's like a chilled out Sci-Fi manga version 40k. What's not to like. I quite like the minis and am thinking of getting some someday. It looks like a sexy version of Necromunda with cool robots and girls. http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity ... an-of-arc/ There seems to be an historic edge thrown in as well. It's a post apocalyptic setting and a bit of a what if future. I think the rules are free to download from the owner in Exeter.

Re: Infinity
I have an infinity model (a hexus sniper, I believe) and I know AGP plays it. I think the rules can be a bit fiddly, but otherwise it seems nice. Can't fault the sculpts, fo sho. I like the Galwegians, meself
I already have way too many systems to play, but I salute your noble attempts to stir up some interest in a new game. If I were to start something new, it'd probly be infinity...

Re: Infinity
No, not so much. It's definitely a "high-tech" sci fi setting. Very Ghost in the Shell, that sort of thing. Some of the minis are a bit too strippogram cheesecake, but other than that, I like it. My favourite Sci fi setting and set of skirmish rules at the moment. That Joan of Arc model is actually an artificial personality downloaded into a cloned body. The other factions have a few of their own - Sun Tze, Saladin, William Wallace and Miyamoto Mushashi are all running around somewhere, and the "power behind the throne" AI ALEPH has half the heroes of the Iliad in superhuman bodies kicking alien ... bottom.ashmie wrote: It's a post apocalyptic setting and a bit of a what if future. It can be fiddly if you want it to be - or if you take it to the far end of a fart like some of the guys on the official forum, but to start off with, it's pretty simple. There's a set of quick-start rules on the website, which streamline things down a lot, to get you into it.
You'll need a lot of terain - especially stuff which totally blcks LOS. Think Necromunda more than 40K.
Re: Infinity
I feel I'd like to play this game and paint the minis, yes it's stripper gram cheesecake but I kind of welcome that as a change to Orcs and Prussians. If I ever invest in another game I will definitely get a squad or two. Also it hails from the capital of Devon. Ohahhh. Think locally act colloquially.
Or is it the other way around?
AGP, thanks for the update. Yes it's a skirmish game like Necromunda. I love the idea that Joan of Ark is AI.

MIJ, you know it makes sense. I found Laird Waverly in a parallel universe. Speaking of which, isn't he due an annual outing soon? Halloween is coming after all. There is talk of another all analog weekend. I'll probably run something classic for Cthulhu.

Re: Infinity
Aye, can't go wrong with a giant Scottish werewolf waving flechette cannons in each hand.
Mind you, the French get Little Red Riging Hood and the Big, Bad Wolf:

Re: Infinity
I am playing a lot of infinity. It is the most awesome skirmish game ever.
Pro:
Skirmish game from the ground up.
Cheap, free rules
Gaining momentum
Cons:
Another game
A lot of terrain is needed
Frustrating rules in the beginning

Thanks Frans for the recommendation. It sounds like a rich and interesting world to boot.
