What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Today I did a little more work on my Bolt Action minis and finished off two more of the Reaper minis (A female paladin and a pirate), still plenty more where they came from.

Re: What did you do today.
I ordered some paints to replace the pot of Averland Sunset that dried up after painting barely 2 dozen models, grumble grumble. Plus some basecoat red to try on the Tyranids. Hopefully being able to continue with the ASC project will get me back on the wagon, painting-wise. Real Life conspiring to keep me from gaming has also hurt my motivation a bit, but I guess we all go through those periods.
Feel free to call me Dave!

To business in the morning. A bike ride at 11 followed by coffee, wrote a poem and now some Jelly Roll Morton. Making an omelette for dinner tonight. Dare I say it. Life is good.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Good to see you're keeping the chin up, Ash
Remember your training and you will get through this!
Today I also am having a good one, as thanks to a girigiri-still-in-the-boufu result at 7:00am this morning, school was cancelled. Huzzah for typhoon 26! I still had to be at work in the morning, but this afternoon has been gainfully employed in finally, preliminarily sticking my plague hulk together. Many bits of blue tac and elastic bands died to bring you these pictures. We have a definite contender for "mostest finickiest model to put together evaaaar" with this lad. Anyhoo - pics:

Flee, puny rhino!!!

And yeah, that plan I had for putting it on a flyer base has been shelved. We're gonna need a bigger boat, lads...

Ps - what design genius decided to make the claw limbs articulated but the legs completely unposeable? Now I have to hacksaw the legs apart, repose them, and fill like a crazy man. It's the same with the Tau battle suits. How hard would it have been to just have the upper and power parts of the legs ball-and-socket, or even just hinged? Gah!

@ MiJ: Spectacular!
I see it also plays Jenga.
@ Ashmie: Good luck. Do your best.
Today I spent the day pretty much working on my French Char Somua S-35 tanks. I got surprisingly far but I guess two weeks without a chance to paint left me cranked up for paint and brush.

Re: What did you do today.
Got a bunch of miniatures in the mail and will be able to complete two more armies finally. I also was able to sneak a game in this past week of 40k with a sort of bolt action turn sequence. One side would randomly move and shoot or assault with one unit and then the other player. It was so, so, SO much better than normal. It was such a great game, I cannot wait to play another. The Tau narrowly won a 2-0 victory over a chaos army. Lots of great moments that went down. Very close game that would have gone to chaos had it gone to turn 6. Also got a ton of smoke clouds and craters done beforehand and it was nice to see the battlefield littered with them after missed blasts.
Today I just started painting my Minotaurs contemptor dreadnought, did some more painting on Sammael the DA and almost finished off the thunder fire cannon and Techmarine I got yesterday.

It's not from Knight Models, therefore, it isn't. Between them and Corvus Belli, there must be something in the Spanish water.me_in_japan wrote:We have a definite contender for "mostest finickiest model to put together evaaaar" with this lad.
Played two whole games of Space Hulk last night - the genestealers won both. In the second game, it turned out that there were three more genestealers than rounds remaining in Brother Leon's assault cannon.
Then a game of Cards Against Humanity. We are all very, very bad people.

Tried something similar with Killteam. We had 5 players and had randomised full turns. Was great fun.Primarch_Vanguard wrote: I also was able to sneak a game in this past week of 40k with a sort of bolt action turn sequence.
