I haven't been able to hobby it up at all recently. Last weekend was spent meeting my in laws for mother in laws birthday dinner in Kyoto, the following day tidying the apartment. Hope to get onto some painting in this weekend to make amends, and at least complete a unit of 10 home guard on bicycles. No rules for these in the British BA book, but the rules for bikes are present in the German book so I expect those will do the trick without objections.
Halloween approaching, I will watch the MR James boxed set I bought last year finally and get some seasonal ghostly tales on the go. :o

I drove for two hours in the rain and darkness to run our club participation game at the Skelp show in Forfar. We ran three races, with the participants including some worryingly bloodthirsty small children*, and then I drove home again in the rain and failing daylight.

One rather cute little girl in pink, upon being presented with her souvenir D6, replied "I really like my dice. Black is my favourite colour."

Lovejoy: great choice. I like O whistle and I'll come to you my lad. Is that on there?
I've got a collection of Poe tales on DVD lined up for this Halloween.
Soon it will be Christmas and the wolves will be running again also.
Watch out Master Kay.
Condicott 7000. Is that the reverend Bottledale?

Last night I ran Dead Man Stomp at Leslie's place. 6 players, all really got into the spirit of the jazz age 1920s setting. Raucous and crazy but ultimately good fun and challenging.

Like ToD good to be back on the wagon, albeit rpg.

@ Prim, nice dragon thing. I have a weird satrye mini like that that wants assembling.

@ AgP: How can you get more blacker than black. The answer is none. None more black.
Cool, good to hear you are starting them young and encouraging the hobby.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Today I finished the two last members to the count as Stormtrooper squad a friend from college gave me last time I was in Spain.

This means that with my usual gamers attention deficit syndrome I have consigned poor Illic to the horrible depths of next week!

put together Morvahna the Autumblade and a Marauder warjack. With my Christmas wishlist full of Khador things, it really is going to be a red Christmas

Is that a Reaper mini? It has that kind of look about it :)

Yesterday evening I, along with many others, availed myself of the hospitality of Moyashimaru. I saw a number of folk I hadn't seen in a long time (including Tenbear and Mrs Tenbear, and the long lost Ashmie) and spent most of the evening doing this:

Dance your way out of that one, pointy ear!

Hum, quite. Actually, it was my first game of BB in years, and it reminded me of why I love the game so much. I lost 2 nil, and actually conceded in turn 3 or 4 of the second half, but in my defense I was playing newbie zards against a 137 woodsie team. Also, I was drinking and he wasn't. Finally, I was playing against Jesse, and coming out of a game against him and not getting slapped up and down the park is doing well, I reckon. Anyway, I foresee more BB in my near future. Game o kings it was and game o kings it still be.

Oh, and I blame the dice for everything. Everything, I say.

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Yes, it is a Reaper mini. It's a 5 headed hydra. Mine is made of their soft plastic rather than the metal one pictured there though. So far it is a very tasteful dark green.

Today I spent a few hours playing Theatre of War on the PC. It's a WW2 tactical combat game and it is bleeding difficult. It also has nothing to do with thespians, despite the title.
