Spent a rainy morning playing "Micoheim" with my daughter. I just cooked up a simple 1 stat rule set on the spot and we had a great time grabbing treasure and shooting Ghouls. I might have to try "Micromunda" with FUBAR rules next time.

I did something similar. We used repainted HeroClix and I had my daughter design the characters and their superpowers. Just did simple opposing rolls. The heroes rolled 2 dice and chose the highest. Baddy goons just rolled the one. They also had just one hit point. Lots of fun.

Today I spent a few hours playing Theatre of War on the PC. It's a WW2 tactical combat game and it is bleeding difficult. It also has nothing to do with thespians, despite the title.
Hahah, Tea and drama in the officers mess.

No painting as yet but the Autumn breeze has got me thinking of spending a day on it tomorrow.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

More solid progress on my assault squad, plus I bumped the terminator commander up to the bench and got him started. Everybody's got their yellow base down, and I'm mostly done with cleaning up the black areas.

I do like the Citadel basecoat line, but it's tricky to work with - dries out right quick.

Last night I was able to add some paint to my S-35s and some decals to the turrets this morning.

Today I put down a couple of washes on some of the projects on my work bench and cleaned up some more Bones minis ready for painting.

Today I drilled holes in a plague hulk's leg, and then chopped it into bits. I also ran a critical eye over my eldar tanks. I'm a bit vexed that as soon as I invest heavily (time and money) into corsairs they pull the rug out from under them with the new codex and basically render the corsairs unplayable (trust me on this - rules anomalies abound.) I can either shelve the corsairs, play crafties and have a slick, playable army that is full of win, or I can stick to my guns, spend ages painting up the corsairs and spend 50% of the time in every game looking up rules across a codex, IA 11, IA apocalypse, IA Aeronotica, the 2 relevant FAQs and the FW update for their psykers. And no, those rulebooks do not all agree. Oh, and they nerfed the hell out of their vehicles, too, while they were at it
