If you want to try it at Joshin sometime, I have a starter force of Romans and an equal number of Celts.

Today my Raven Guard and Spev's Blood Angels took on a force of Nurgle Marines under the command of Badruck and some of M_i_J's Eldar Corsairs. After a brutal fight, the game ended on a draw. At the end of the game the forces remaining were:
1 Vindicator,
1 Razorback
2 Tactical marines
Captain Shrike
1 Automated missile launcher

Vs.

1 Eldar Void Dragon Bomber
1 Eldar Corsair

All of the vehicles were down to their last hull point and Shrike had lost a wound as well. If the game had continued 1 more turn, the corsair was the only scoring mini left on the board, but was facing down the entire Imperial force.

A fun time was had by all with much waffling on, banter, poor jokes and booze aplenty.
Thanks to M_i_J for hosting and to Spevna and Badruck for a great day.

I wondered where you chaps were hiding today, at the eagles nest for the day I see. :) Glad everyone got a game in today be it Kuwana or Tsu. Feel free to come to Tsu on December 23rd. I'll hold an open games day at Center Palace. It would be good to catch up with y'all.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

@AGP - holy moly, that's a lot of tanks! At first I thought they were epic scale...

Many thanks to Badruck, Spev and Prim for coming down to Tsu today (especially Badruck, who came the hard way by bicycle from ogaki. 80km one way, and had to leave te house at 4am to get here in time. Much head-scratching respec' to you sir.

The game was a fun one. The beakies had us on the ropes pretty early, and it was only the doughty fortitude of the plague marines coupled with the maneuverable dakka of the Phoenix that allowed us to squeeze a draw. In retrospect, mind you, if I had hidden that last jetbiker behind the building at S&P's left backfield we coulda squeezed in a "linebreaker" for the win. Still, as Prin said, mostly what happened was that loadsa folk on both sides got killed. Good times had by all.

Also, Prim brought over a bunch of minis for me (many thanks). Thank you to Vossy for the HPA - I have a cunnin' plan for that un...

prim also brought my Bones:

Put up a Christmas tree, went full-on anal-retentive and organized my dice, and finally got the base blue and green finished on all my chaos marines. A couple quick rounds of shading and highlighting and they'll be done - I'm just waiting on my latest base order to get here.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Got in a game on the weekend of my space marines vs chaos marines. Pure slugfest with my marine winning. Great game. Especially loved my one marine rolling all sixes to stop his impending doom at the hands of a daemon Prince. Way to go Veteran. Really thought my goose was cooked till the end vp tally.

What else? Got some more chaos marines in the mail. Going to cut and file them up at work. I have been saving up my juggernaut Khorne heads for some Khorne space marines but just saw that my magnet container is almost dry. Would like to be able to swap them from Khorne to another unit. Anyone know of a place in Nagoya that carries tiny magnets?

Found this in my bitz box, but don't really have any way to make use of it without chopping it up way more than I'd like to. *nostalgia*

Sounds like you guys had a blast...literally :D

I had a Kiwiana Sunday with me fellow Zealander Mike the Pike. Had a good old yack and a cracker of a game of fantasy which saw many elves on both sides cark it and suck the kumura! Those Dark Elf Warlocks with their Doom Bolt were a bit dodgy, eh? Still I was chuffed not to meet any witches! I learnt that a Treeman should never get near Cold One knights with a flaming banner and Mike learnt that Glade Guard St4 shooting can really hurt the new Hydras.

Great day that ended with me killing Han Solo and Mike killing Luke Skywalker in X-Wing the board game. I know, I know, I don't forgive myself either. ;)

I always knew those two would come to blows eventually.

Today I built a couple of Skaven, watched The Hangover 2 and took a quick nap during my lunch break. :D
