I...took the first painful steps down the road towards a nicely done garden. Damn but those things are effing expensive. So much so that I'm sorely tempted to see what I can do for myself. On a side note, yesterday I finished Tomb Raider. It was...ok. I mean, no obvious problems, and very pretty, but neither were there any particularly memorable bits, in retrospect. It was, however, interesting to see that it was written by Rhianna Pratchett, daughter of Terry. Whodathunk? Contrastingly, the first 10mins of Dead Space 3 made me pee my pants about 3 times, as well as being very memorable. I'm looking forward to some scary late evenings come the weekend and some Starcraft on the new PC. And some further work on Plaguey. And maybe getting some actual painting done on my corsairs.
@ MiJ Is there still a cheat to make Lara cartwheel on a rock ledge like in Tomb Raider 1?
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Got inspired by the Space Crusade stuff, so put a bit of work into my space hulk minis. Finished a few hybrids, a couple of stealers and the first terminator. Did him as my favourites the Mentor Legion - Need to with up the nerve to try free handing the old owl head chapter badge!

@Ash re: Lara - hmmm. Not that I'm aware of, although otherwise she's pretty limber. The game is set when she was still nowt but a fresh-faced young whelp, before she got all badass. No twin pistols for this girl - she has to pry her first weapon (a scratch built bow) from the cold dead hands of a hanged man. Shortly after this the badass starts to kick in, and she's soon shooting people in the kneecaps then stabbing them in the neck with arrows. And that's stabbing, not shooting. Like I said: badass. Slightly too badass, in fact. I coulda done with a twitch more tomb raiding and a twitch less murdering-she-devil, to be honest. I appreciate that there was a fair bit of rootin' tootin' shootin' in the original games, but it never really struck me as being the main point of them, whereas in this one it's a lot more dominant. There are still jumpy puzzly bits, but they're kinda overwhelmed by the killin'. Shouldn't complain really - as I said, I'm quite excited by dead space 3, and that's probably the most violent/gory series I've ever seen.

@Yellowstreak Most excellent! I always thought Mentor Legion was cool too. Which edition of Hulk are your tiles?
I have not been painting much of anything. Been playing some Final Liberation. Been watching the old Jeremy Brett "Sherlock Holmes" shows. Been scribbling notes for a set of 1 stat skirmish rules.

I spent yesterday evening reading X-men comics. I didn't do a single mini related thing all day.

You really need to check out Uncharted. It is unbelievably good.

@ MiJ: yep I remember in 1 combat was pretty rare and when the baddies did show up it was a big deal all of a sudden.
Hold L1 and press square when you climb up? Probably worth checking the internet for the cartwheel cheat.

Had my first job interview in 9 years today. I must truly be jaded as it didn't make me nervous in the least

@ Voss: Nice. Keep at it!

This post is like for the past week or two of things I've done.
1) Added paint to the Panzer III in areas of detail and then washed them.
2) Added yellow to the hussars and painted their horses.
3) Built my French 75 battery and French infantry platoon.
4) Worked on a stand of trees and their base.
5) Played a tiny bit of Combat Mission.
6) Watched Interview with a Vampire, a movie I've kind of meant to watch for a long time.
