Today I started painting some Roman Auxiliary troops. I got the armour/helmets done and made a start on their tunics. They are pretty simple, so I figure I should be able to get them done pretty quickly if I am in a painty mood.
I also placed a pre-order for the latest Black Powder supplement titled simply "Zulu." :D :D :D I had already worked out orders of battle for most of the major engagements, but it'll be nice to have something else to work with.

Thanks Koji and Job for coming over Friday night for some X-Wing. Despite their bickering and one-upmanship, Rogue Squadron and Gold Squadron managed to demolish the imperials and destroy the prototype Tie Interceptor.

The force continued to be with the Rebels as they then destroyed a Lambada shuttles as it tried to pick up some double agents!

Great games guys, hope we can do it again soon!

I spent most of today doing my christmas shopping. This is probably the most proactive I have ever been in regards to getting it done well in advance. Now I just need to wrap everything up and send it to my family.
This evening I managed to get my Dragoons varnished and get another round of paint on some Romans. Good times. :D

Yeah, I know it's a bit more expensive, but doing it all online seems a bit impersonal.

still recovering a bit from my endoscopy on Friday. 2 meters of fiber optic cord down the throat. I think I know how the guy on Aliens felt before the little guy came popping out. End result two polyps and some acid reflux damage. The docs don't think the polyps are cancerous but it's another piece of evidence that stress is taking its toll on me.

@Vossy - sounds like its time to make a change. If life/work is stressing you to the point where your body is signalling to you, then you either continue what you're doing (and face the indubitably unpleasant consequences) or take steps towards something different. Here's hoping you're able to find a new job soonish :) I daresay even lining up a few more interviews would make a positive psychological difference.

Sorry to hear that. Moving to a new job might help, so keep looking for something that sounds appealing. We'll keep our ears to the ground and let you know if we hear anything. Best of luck mate.
