Some of us have to mail order household cleaners cos we live in wierdy foreign parts where Fairy Power Spray is something for keeping the flitty wee buggers out of the rose bushes. I get my simple green from amazon, and am frankly bloody pleased that I can do so. Took me months to find the stuff here.
Yes, but I live in a civilised country. :P

Tonight, my Army Painter Plate Mail Metal spray threw a wobbly, and now I look like Ferrus Manus. :( I blame the Inquisition.

Spent an hour early this morning sculpting chest hair and butts with greenstuff. I still have a lot of chesthair and butts to do. Can you have too much chest hair and too many butts? I say no. I need more greenstuff. Seriously, I do need some more. Anyone know a good source for Kneadatite? I'll swing by Tokyu Hands tonight just on the off chance.

Worked on me, Buddhist marines

Bought a bag of marines from the vengeance box, started to slightly convert them
(and got rid of that nasty dark angel iconography)

Painted more on the new plastic marines

Nice work on the marines, JR. I'm digging the yellow red combo, especially with the dark skin tones.

Got in what may be my last painting for the year as I'll be head back to Oz for Xmas on the weekend. My order from shapeways came in so painted on of the Z-95 headhunters for X-Wing. Here is it with the standard X-Wing. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the shapeways stuff.

@ J-R: Nice work. I love how you are working on converting your models.

@ Y-S: Nice! I notice there's an Ay-Wing model on the site, too. What kind of scale do you need for the "X-wing" game? Any Why-wings, too?

I just finished work. I got back to find my wife is already made her comfortable before the TV enjoying a drama. I'll try to build one more stand of orchards tonight.

The scale for X-Wing is 1/270. I have some TYE-Wings on order too (Tie Body and Y-Wing nacelles) as well as couple of millennium-falcon size larger scale ships.

Today I finished painting the bases on my Roman and Celt units. In addition, I was able to paint up an extra commander for both armies. This means that aside from flocking the bases (and a layer of varnish on the commanders), I have finished everything for next Monday's game. Yay!
So, from here on out this year, I will be gluing figures together and getting them ready so I can get a good running start at my 500-minis-in-a-year target come the new year.
