I managed a heavy weapon base before taking the train to Nagoya. Does it count?

This afternoon I painted the uniforms and helmets of French infantry. I also built the hell brute model from my BLack Reach box.

I bit the bullet and ordered a copy of Black Powder. I was quite impressed with the game of HC I played with Prim at the last Joshin day, and as I have a mess of Napoleonics to paint up I figured I ought to get a nice ruleset to use 'em with. Merry Christmas to me!

Last night I ate sukiyaki and sushi. Yum. Today I pieced together the cultists from the BR box, then worked on my French artillery a little and the land speeder and bikes for my DA.

I've just completed the first minis of 2014; Master of the Forge Valthex of the Astral Claws and a Destroyer tank hunter. OK, so I started them in 2013, but I finished them off today. Photos to follow, along with the last minis of 2013.

Pretty much finished the skin on some Orks. (For some reason, shouting "ork flesh!" sounds better than skin, though. Ah well.)
Just have to do their reds and leathers and they'll be good to go.

Re: What did you do today.
First, Happy New Year to everyone. I've already shot, kicked and buried the remains of 2013 as the worst year in my life and pray 2014 will be better. Hobby wise, 2013 was really good but reality is always a kick to the balls of hobbyists.
With the new year, my Lord of Skulls arrived which made me happy until the notion of trimming it, converting it and painting it sunk in. Ugh. But I did pic up a nice AA light model in Tokyo and it will make a nice terrain piece. Also picked up the apoc blast template set at the Tokyo GW store for when The Lord of Skulls and my Thuderhawk are completed sometime say, 2015.
I really hadn't done any hobby stuff this holiday. Yesterday was the first day I sat down and did some painting. Did some work on two of my Tzeetnch hq models, did more work on my Khorne berserkers and then flocked about say 100 bases. And with that, I'd had it and read the Thor, god of thunder god butcher series which I had downloaded. Very good read.
And then had my future relatives over with their new baby. I'd picked up some nice chickens in Yokosuka and Emina pressure cooked them before baking them with carrots and potatoes. We made a salad and some rice and voila, New Years lunch was served. However the coup de grace was the Key Lime pie for dessert.
Today I'm preparing the table for a 9000 pt battle between my space marines and chaos space marines sans lords of war and trying to use all my units from both sides but still fell far short after upgrades. And this game shall be played on.....my citadel grass mat!! After looking everywhere for one but the one with the black backing, I couldn't find one anywhere on the net or shops and was speechless when I stumbled across one in Akibahara. Unfortunately the thing sheds like a cat being swung by its balls. Well, a quick workout and it's hobby time.
