@ Prim: nice zulus. Now I've got the theme to Zulu stuck in my head.

@ jehan: I love the old-school land speeders. It takes me back.

Yesterday and today I continued bits of work on my cultists.

Man, I might still have an old metal speeder in a box back home. Those were cool!. No front armor or windscreen or anything. Took a real man to pilot a skimmer back in the day.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Yeah i never liked those plastic ones, they look great converted as buggies, but not in the air.

Also got lucky in Holland, that my old (non GW) shop still had Metal GW miniatures, bought a few of those. And i bought a Dystopian Wars Metzger class robot, will try to convert it to a dreadnought or something.
Also took back some Russian metal WW2 miniatures i used use for the game Stalingrad.

A big box of goodies arrived last night, so tonight I'm hoping to get a unit or two cleaned up for priming. Go Scourge!

On the workbench, I have to:
-Flock a unit of 10mm orcs.
-Paint up 4 termagants.
(These two shouldn't take more than an evening.)

Then waiting to be primed, I'll have:
-A unit of DZC models
-2 bases each of 6mm Napoleonic line infantry and heavy dragoons
-A marine and a guardsman for ASC
(Which should keep me nicely occupied for a bit.)

I'm finding myself really tempted to spend the small amount of money I'd need to get core forces for Greeks and Persians for Warmaster Ancients. Be strong, Dave!

Yes! Be strong! Buy them for Hail Caesar instead. (In 6mm if you want, I just don't want to try to buy an out of print rulebook. )

A co-worker has convinced me to get into guitar playing again, and booked a practice studio for my day off this coming Monday, but it means I have a few riffs and stuff to learn so I don't make a fool of myself. So what I have been doing today is trying to get mindless, classic, balls-to-the-wall AC/DC riffs in my head. Great fun. Very excited about jamming with someone after 10 years of musical inactivity. Should be a good weekend of hobbies for me, what with a game on Sunday too. :D

Heh. :D You could probably use units based for WMA in HC pretty easily - they both use a 40mm facing.

(That said, reading Rick's design notes it sounds like Hail Caesar is basically "Warmaster plus beer" - probably pretty easy to get the hang of one if you know the rules for the other. Plus, technically, I didn't buy the book either...)

Looking good! Nice clean color scheme.

I finished up the red on the termagants and bought some new black and clear spray since it turns out I'm almost out.

Nice lookin tau auxryn.

Just did a tiny bit of painting on some striking scorpians all week. Very little time right now with working out and getting all those Xmas pounds off. But getting cut again and just a few more weeks.

Then I Got four large buildings built, a big elevated highway built and many terrain pieces painted but not dry brushed ( will this ever get done, hmmm ).

And finally the "I knew it was bound to happen" happened. One of my near the ceiling shelves with my landing pad on landing pad and stuff on the landing pad came a crashing down. Luckily no miniatures were injured but my tau landing pad took a beating. Nothing some glue didn't fix but it'll need to be sprayed for paint again.

Other than that, I downloaded and have been replaying the old Rune hack and slash game. Now it's time to decide if the snow outside is going to stop me from going out today.
