@ Prim: Nice to see the 'Mericans comin' along.

Today my copy of the new Dwarf armybook came in. It is very nice and I have to say GW did well with the rules. A lot of things went up in costs (runes, some elite units, cannons) and other things were added to make the dwarfs less shooty and more close quarter-oriented (not that you can't do a shooty army, either). The best part is along with the gyrobomber I bought and started assembling, I can field all the variations of gyrocoptors I have. イェイ! :D Flying dwarves!

The only time a Dwarf should fly is when an Ogre is seeing how far he can throw one!

Say, what are the rules for the M1 Garand in Bolt Action? I've been curious for a long time but not had a chance to ask.

I finished up some Pathfinders this week. Magnetizing them went okay but the paint job was sloppier than I wanted. Well, done is done and now I can paint meganobs.

The M1 Garand rifle, the carabine version and the U.S. Browning Assault Rifle (BAR) may all move and fire without penalty. Every other rifle in the game suffers a -1 to hit if you shoot after moving. This is meant to represent the semi-automatic nature of the rifle as well as the (usually) more plentiful supply of ammo the Americans had available.

@ Konrad: Hey, gotta have air if you don't have height. BTW there are three extra heads in the gyrocoptor set. They have goggles and helmets (and naturally very dwarvish beards). They look exactly like a 40k squat. Do you want them?

@ Y-S: I'm writing that insult down! Prepare for death ogre! (Nobody ever throws a dwarf.)

@ Auxryn: Actually the treatment of M1 Grands and M1 carbines is very similar in FOW with no penalty applied to movement or pining. Essentially GW made the rapid fire rules the same in 5th/6th Ed.

Oh and the Tau look fine. Keep up the industrious painting!

Heck yes!

I can only say that I am very happy to hear you are getting started on some Meganobz. Enough with the fish'eads already!

This is what I've been working on. I re-sculpted some of the back and some of the belly on shirtless one. The paint job really showed off my poor modeling skills.

Today I did more work on my GI's, mainly the backpacks and the webbing. I also finished off building a Space Marine Hunter/Stalker. The kit can build both turrets except for one piece which is shared between them, which just seems stingy. Luckily it isn't vital on either of them, so I built both options for the turrets. Not a bad kit to put together.

@ MiketPike: That isn't a true dwarf. It is a shameful display of a beard, if he has one!

@ Konrad: Will do, dude. And awesome work on the models. Now those are real burly dwarf beards. Yeah!
