And that would certainly be a happy thought. :D (mmm...gyro...) Of course I do hope that is what your goblins imagine as dwarves rain gyro/bombs on them. :D

Today I picked up a brush at last and managed to paint some cool martian desert bases with 100Y shop mahogany varnish, let's see how they dry up overnight.

Worked a bit my gyro squadron. I also got a bunch of loot from Warlord. 1/56 scale 250/9 are dinky!

Didn't you tell me a while back that you were going to stick with what you had for BA? That makes at least two new purchases you've mentioned in this thread so far. :D
It's good to see such enthusiasm for the game. I'm looking forward to seeing your platoon (or is it a company now?) on the tabletop sometime soon.

Yesterday I watched an episode of Band of Brothers and did some work on a Tamiya Sherman. It's about halfway done now I reckon.

@ Prim: Did I? :? :D Well, so much for my New Year's Resolutions. :D And I actually have two more orders in mind: Flames of war stuff for the other project.

But in all honesty, all the stuff I've ordered for BA is to round my force for a 750/1000 point games. It is exactly what you can find on the list I posted up on the NagHam BA thread. I figured after studying the rulebook I needed things like panzershrek and I had the scout vehicle in mind since I bought the starter box. Finally, after painting the MMG and mortar teams, I realized it is quite fun to paint BA models.

And now they just released the 5cm Pak36 AT gun! That's just what I wanted! :? :D

As for painted stuff, I can play platoon level games at 500 points.

I just saw The Hobbit 2. I sadly have to say I highly recommend against it. I left the theater a little stewed inside with the ridiculous non ending. When Martin Freeman cries, "What have we done?" towards te end of the film, I couldn't agree more. Peter Jackson has really trashed a fine story. There are needless adaptations to wonderful scenes from the book (Borin's appearance, the escape in the barrels, riddling with Smog). There are scenes and plot twists unnecessary and rather boring. What is the purpose of the Orc decapitations? This should be a quaint story as was Tolkien's original.

Maybe I am a bit over reacting. Actually I am very excited to play Warhammer now and happily eating lunch. Yet I was really hoping this morning to watch something that would have requited my interest until next December the way The Two Towers did. In all honesty I feel this was a executed like B-flick with blockbuster budget.

@ Prim - Nicely done, another platoon ready for action, bolt action ;)

@ Job - Kind if felt the same way when I left the theatre too - lost its epic feel and I wasn't so keen on the pop music credits song.

@ Prim: Nice work on the 'MeriKans. Those Nebraska boys look like they are ready to kick kraut butt.

Today I worked on my dwarf flyers again for about an hour or so. I was really sleepy while painting but managed some progress.

BTW, does anyone have any extra 28mm BA bases? I'm looking for at least one more and wishing for 4 more.
