Today I actually put in an hour or so of hobby time. I spent it puttering about trying to come up with some kind of way to rescue the Eldar vyper kit. When you put that model beside the venom its age really shows. It has a fat ass and is very downwardly weighted, visually speaking. Anyway, I have a few ideas, but it's going to involve some major sawing n glueing n kit bashing antics to save this kit.*

I shall ganbaru...

*Im converting up a couple of venoms for my corsairs, so I can get away with a bit of not-regular-Eldar styling on it. The tricky part is maintaining the aesthetic flow of the lines. It's bloody hard to maintain the S-curves n suchlike.

Today I started building a second Panzer IV, because having only one of a tank that I hardly ever use is just crazy right? In the evening I went to see Captain America: Winter Soldier. It wasn't bad, but not as much fun as Thor: The Dark World. Captain America could have used more Loki. Thinking about it, more films could use more Loki, but Captain America would definitely have been better for it. Nice to see Wanda and Pietro Maximoff after the credits though. I wonder which film will have the better Quicksilver, X-Men or Avengers...

I spent a little bit on time working on some of the Angels of Vengeance models. Then I spent the rest of the evening destroying Gallic armies in Iberia that were threatening my Carthaginian settlements. Nice to be playing RTW I again.

I was wondering where Wulf's bezzie mate was, very nice! I may spring for the Foundry Stronty Dogs at some point myself.
For Dredd, I started to work up some rules for Alpha as I said...but it requires my reading through the comics. Seems like he could be used as a kind of Judge, since his Westinghouse Variable Cartridge Blaster (well remembered from childhood that man) fires bullets in a similar way to a lawgiver, plus he basically tries to arrest opponents (bounties). He also has time bombs/drogues which send the target forward or backward in time, potentially into an orbit where the earth has moved on. He also has more conventional items like grappling hook type doofers, as a Citi-Def Jaeger does. Lots of potential fun, but that kind of thing needs more thinking about, game wise. I'm sure it could be thrashed out, though.

Forgot all about his bloody x-ray eyes too.

I asked over on the LAF and one of the guys said a good starting point would be a street judge for Wulf, and a senior street judge for Johnny.
