Changed the spear to a more appropriate weapon for my Buddhists Chapter Champion and slapped more paint on.

Just like old times, eh, with the smurfs and wood elves, playing in Kyoto against the Orks and Brets! I feel a resurgence of interest myself. Not sure whether to buy the 40k rules yet though. My wife is away for a week from this morning, so now would probably be the time to order stuff.

Yeah, I know.
@ Lovejoy Keep everything in plain site regarding your wife. I got in serious shit when ordering a load of A Team stuff off e bay, even if I did give the van to my son, which he loves by the way. I'm probably going to be divorced before long for the greater good of all parties so I don't need to worry. If you love your wife and want to stay with her in the long term. Check first  :)

@Ashmie, That was partly in jest..a few of us have joked about getting purchases past the spousal checkpoint. And I certainly won't be buying 2nd hand A-team stuff in a hurry.

Today I managed to get some sand stuck to some bases ready for painting tomorrow.

Got the base texture down on some trees and the base for the next piece of desert village scatter, and got started on the texture on the buildings themselves. I think I've figured out how to make the latter less of a pain, so it should feel a bit less onerous moving forward. Which is good, since I still have 20-odd buildings to go...

What kind of masking tape do you use? i have the problem that the paint creeps under my masking tape sometimes. Nice job by the way.

@ Lovejoy, oh you were joking. I'm sorry it's hard to tell in text. I wish I could joke about such things. I found I couldn't really buy minis after our kid was born and expect an easy time. You are obviously luckier than me with that. Oh well this one time after so long can't hurt, we shall see.
